Heyo-

My name is Ghost and I had my back right leg amputated a few weeks ago.. Here's my story so far- I was brought to the shelter by some good samaritans who found me in the street one day. The next morning my soon-to-be new mom was doing morning rounds at the shelter and saw me and instantly fell in love with me (duh!) It was my beautiful blue eyes she saw first. She called dibs on me right away and fostered, then adopted me after my spay surgery. I was loving life! I got to go camping, and I went to so many places, including Mount Lassen National Park, Santa Cruise Beach Board Walk, Lake Tahoe, Muir Beach, and all sorts of other fun places. But then one day.. my mom brought home an annoying little sister from work! We may share the same breeds (Husky/Shep mixes) BUT we are NOT from the same parents! I begged my mom to send her back - I loved having all the attention to myself! Over time I guess she became fun to play with, we got into all sorts of mischief together, including chasing squirrels and digging holes all over the back yard! Soon we figured out how to dig under the fence and get out for some fun runs across the acres of farm land behind our house, and of course the creek too! Well one day our parents left us and we thought they abandoned us FOREVER! So we dug ourselves out of the back yard (silly parents thought they had fixed the fence so we couldn't get out- yeah right!) We traipsed along the creek trying to catch little fishes, then ran around some farm land chasing critters. Somehow we ended up in the road, it was dark by then and we weren't paying attention to where we were.. well.. then it happened- BAM! I was hit by some force that I never saw coming.. it really hurt, I was so scared.. I crawled into the bushes and hid with my sister until my parents came home. When they found me they rushed me to the hospital and found out what happened to me.. I had to have my broken leg removed.. and here I am today, one less leg buy still two beautiful blue eyes.

Oh Ghost! You poor pupperz, I can't imagine what awful thing happened that it broke your leg so bad. I'm just glad you survived and your hoppy loving self did too!

I met your mom in the Chat today, she's pretty awesome working in the shelter and helping so many critters. She's my Shero!

And you are pretty cool and oh so gorgeous. I'm sorry you had to join our club but so glad you are here! We are excited about following along with more of your (safe!) adventures.

Hope your sissy is doing ok. We can't wait to meet her too. Post away, your posts won't need approval now!
