Alina,

I'm very sorry Buddy's time was so short. But it sounded like he had a peaceful farewell with lots of love surrounding him. It's helpful to make a memorial for him with pictures, his collar and toys or even create a book about him. This cancer journey really sucks but it sounds like you made your decision with love and compassion.

Alina,

As I sit here sobbing, please know my heart is absolutely breaking for you right now......I am so very sorry for your loss of Buddy. I know his journey was such a short one, but never let that be the defining story to his life......he was so loved by you, and had many, many happy days with you through his entire life. Death and especially the "ugly c" can and will NEVER diminish that fact. He left you on a beautiful day, and he knows you did everything possible for him.......He is now with so many other beloved Angel Tripawds that welcomed him over the Bridge, including my precious Angel Polly.

The days and weeks ahead will be hard, take your time in this new phase of this journey.....it takes us all a very long time to start to heal from this......our bonds with our Tripawds are like no other, and they will remain in the brightest part of our souls for all eternity...... Buddy will be your guardian angel, and remain by your side, always.....

Sending healing {{{hugs}}}

Alina,

My heart aches for you ... your soul mate has left your side but he has not left your heart or your soul. My girl, Shelby, was also my soul-mate and while I miss her every single day, I feel her spirit within everything I do, every single day. Know that you gave Buddy the ultimate gift - freedom from the pain. He knows how loved he was every day of his life. And his last day on earth was perfection!

I hope that the memories you shared with comfort you in the days/weeks to come. To love greatly is to grieve greatly...

sending you love and hugs,

Alison with the spirit of Shelby fur-ever in her heart

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

So dreaded this week end for you....you and Buddy have beenin my thoughts everyday since your fir s t post, but especially this week end. I, like everyone here, am heartbroken for you and with you. You and Buddy are our family and we KNOW how deeply this hurts...we hurt and cry as well today.

All we can do, as everyone who jas posted has toed to do, is bring you comfort, support and u derstanding. But we arehelpless when it comes to taking your pain away. Nothing has been "just a coincidence" bringing you here on this journey...bringing you to the physic the other day and, most importantly, seeing Buddy have a hap o y day as he transitioned to Spirit. Alina, I believe with all my heart and soul he had such a good day because he was EXCITED about the new adventure he was going on...pain free, healthy, vibrant and puppyish!!!!

One Buddy knew ...that you knew... through HIS communications with the physic to you (again, not just a "happenstance" or coincidence that she showed up in n your life at that exact moment), he was ready to transition with NO regrets, then Buddy was able to feel enjoyment again. And Buddy gave you the ultimate gift of a beautiful transition...just as you gave him the gift of a loving and beautiful transition to carry with him.

As Bonnie has said and to paraphrase Jerry, these couple of weeks are just a blink of the eye compared to the thousands and thousands of days of laughter, tail wags, butt scratches, extra treats just because, snuggles, rolling in the grass on his back.

In fact, do something right now that will let Buddy know you will be m okay...if only for a few brief seconds today. Close your eyes, breathe in Buddy's energy of love and joy....maybe even breathe in the scent of Buddy as a "wet, stinky" boy! Now, let one memory come to you that makes you smile. That's it....it makes you smike and makes Buddy wag his tail...in fact, you are even starting to chuckle out loud thinking about this silly moment...that's it....that's making Buddy wag right now!

Surrounding n you with all the love in the world and Buddy's eternal grace...and sloppy kisses!

Sally and My Eternal Light Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle too!

My heart breaks for you, I'm so sorry.

Animal communicators can be such a big help, they get us to see the big picture and really understand what it is our animals are going through. That was so brave, and you made such a difficult decision, what a selfless act to do and give him one last beautiful day with all of you. Perhaps he was joyful because knew that it was his time, maybe he knew he would be eternally young and healthy, and able to see all of his old friends again. I know you guys will miss each other so much, but one day you too will be reunited with him. Until then, his spirit will be an ever-present part of your life, that kind of magic never fades.

Here are instructions for adding photos, we'd love to see them. If you have any trouble let me know and I will post them for you.

So many hugs coming your way, I'm really sorry.

Yes Buddy, you will be remembered here. Does not matter here if your journey as a Tripawds is long or short. You were on my mind all weekend. I knew you had this hard day coming. Sounds like it was a peaceful transition. He is pain free now and running on all 4 " healthy" legs. No more cancer or pain. The only pain remaining is what you are carrying inside your heart. There is nobody who understands that pain as much as us here. Come here when you need to vent, cry and remember. We get it. Don't knoe if you are still having problems posting pictures. I have to change the text to the tiny mice...does not really say that. I use the plain text on my tablet, but I do not get a little tree add picture option on my desktop with plain text. Thinking of you, Hugs from, Lori and TY

TY GUY, Best Black Lab ever! Diagnosed  and had amp in January, 2014. Kicked MRSA's butt. Earned his angel wings on April 16, 2014. Run Free my boy and don't forget a shoe. Ty is a proud member of the " April Angels". Ty sent us Daryl, a Tripawd rescue in Sept. of 2016. Daryl is 5 +or -. We are also Pawrents to Chandler, a Border Collie mix who is 15 and 1/2, Lucy, a Corgi who is 7, 2 minis, 2 horses, and a feisty cat named Zoe. Zoe had a non skeletal Osteosarcoma removed in July 2015. No Chemo, she was at least 16. She is going strong although she is now completely blind. She is now close to 20 and her hobbies are eating and sleeping in front of her personal heater.

I read this earlier this evening but I couldn't post b/c I couldn't see through my tears.

I am so sorry you had to say good bye. We all know just how hard that is & wish we could take away the hurt. Only time can do that (& it will), but we are here for you to lean on.

DOGspeed Buddy! You will always be loved by your mama & your extended "tripawds family"

BUDDY, SWEET, SWEET BUDDY!!! You are so handsome!. And your puppy picture....you define cute....and adorable...and precious!

Alina, as privileged as you were to have Buddy in your life, know he felt just as privileged to have you in his. We know right n ow the pain seems unbearable and the void is overwhelming. You probably walk around aimlessly not caring much about anything. And, it will be like this for auite awhile...grief has no ending, but it does lessen and it does get pushed further into the background as all of the wonderful happy times with Buddy power through.....and they will!!!

Buddy KNOWS you did EVERYTHING possible! No one tried harder than you!!! For whatever reason, it was just Buddy's time to move into another open door to his next adventure. Buddy wants you to let the tears dry and he wants to see a smile on your face when you think of him. That would sure make that big tail of his wag!

Nothing can ever break the bond you had with Buddy...it is eternal! His energy still is present and still surrounding you with his love. Buddy will send you a sign that he is doing just fine. It may take awhile though. Right now he's busy running free and eating ice cream and steak!!!

Thank you sooooo much for sharing these delightful pictures of your handsome guy!! We would LOVE to hear more about your life with Buddy when you can! How old was he whennyou got him? How did HE pick you? Was he easy to potty train? Did he "ounter surf" and take food off the table? I have a feelingnhe was almost always a well behave boy!!!

We are here...you are family. Buddy will NEVER be forgotten here!

Surrounding you with big paw hugs and the eternal grace of Buddy
