Wonderful, awesome news to hear !!!!!!!!! As Sally would say, a HUGE collective sigh from the entire Tripawds community !!!!!!! And yes, we actually did hear that very comforting loud sigh across the ocean and beyond from Australia !!!!

When will you get to bring Luka home?? Just remember to be very positive, happy, and calm when seeing her, it makes all the difference in her recovery......it can be a bit of a shock to see them like this for the first time, but very soon, you won't notice that missing leg as much.

Hoping for happy healing, and great, pain-free days ahead!! Please continue to keep us all updated and we can answer any questions and most problems you may have in this new journey......we will be with you through all of this.

Keeping you and Luka in my thoughts today.....{{{hugs}}}

Fantastic news! YAAAY!

Her homecoming will be so sweet. If there's anything you need, questions, whatever, just holler OK? I hope she gets to be with her pack again soon.

my first time here as a new member.  no doubt you are hearing lots of support.  My Golden broke his front leg after a week of limping.  we amputated, went through 4 chemo sessions and he was swimming in 3 weeks, and seems symptom free and happy after 5 months.  he sleeps 22 hours a day instead of the 20 before it seems!  This extra time with him has been a blessing for all of us

So wonderful to hear that she made it through surgery- such a long wait to hear from the vet!

Now on to healing and the rest of your lives together.  Let us know when you get her home.

p.s. Luka could have worn my Tripug Maggie as a hat!

Tri-pug Maggie survived a 4.5 year mast cell cancer battle only to be lost to oral melanoma.

Sending healing thoughts,

Joan and Lily

Our beautiful Lily was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her front leg on 12/14/11 at age 8 and had amp on 12/16/11. She completed 5 rounds of carbo. She was so brave and kicked cancer's butt daily! She lived life fully for 4 years, 3 months, and 15 days after her amp. My angel is a warrior princess. I miss her so much.

I've spoken to the vet this morning…she is continuing to do well.  Eating, drinking and pain threshold is good…she's pretty much just waiting for us to pick her up when my husband finishes work this afternoon.  Fingers crossed for the healing process to go smoothly.  I really need to figure out how to blog so I can share some photos with you guys x

There are links on here showing how to post pictures. If you have a tablet though, it doesn't apply.

Can't wait to see pictures!!!

The first several days, eve up to two weeks, can be fulll of ups and downs. Try and rest when you can. Look forward to your next update.....and photos!!!

YAAAAAAAAAY! You did it!!! And I'm even MORE in love now! What a beautiful girl! She reminds me soooooo much of my Hapoy Hannah I can barely stand it!!!

My Happy Hannah weighed about 125-128 lbs. before amp. How much does your girl weigh??

I just love her coloring with the black mask! My Merry Myrtle is red with the black mask.

Soooo glad you posted these...just want to smooch her mug!!!

Grinning!

Lukie was approx 122 before her amp…but had lost a bit of weight leading up to the op with muscle wastage and lack of appetite with tramadol. She's snoring on our floor as I type…will have to figure out how to get photos off my phone to upload.

The wound looks shocking, as I knew it would..but she's heaps happier than what she was with it on. When we first got home she kept trying to put the imaginary leg on the ground…which was weird, as she didn't try that when it was sore…obviously now that the pains gone, its changed her awareness.

It looks like he's left her shoulder etc on…is that normal??

Hope she gets used to it…so far so good…will keep you all posted xx
