Sounds great so far!

Don't be surprised if she crashes a little in a day or two.  It doesn't happen to every pup, but it's not uncommon a day or two after coming home.

Hopefully Alexa hops right through a smooth recovery!

Also, if one of the meds your grinding up is Tramadol, I can tell you as soon as Harmony figured out it (very nasty tasting) was in her food, she refused to eat. Even if she smelled it on my hands, she wouldn't have a thing to do with whatever I was giving her. I contribute much of her "not eating" to that fact.

Harmony became a Tripawd on 10/21/14 (MCT). She left us way too soon on 11/1/14.

Murphy took his meds in peanut butter.  And he mostly ate chicken broth with rice and some chunks of chicken in it rather than regular food.

But it sounds like Alexa is starting off great!

HI, I just wanted to chime in and just say that Alexa sounds like a very confident and tough cookie! It's so impressive with how she handled surgery so far. WOW! Go girl, TRIPAWD POWER! Keep us posted on this beauty, hope she continues this smooth path to recovery 🙂 clap
