Update: Bailey is doing great. She has peed the first night she came home. Today she pooped! She is almost walking on her own 100%. We are so happy and see our "old" Bailey!

Bailey, you just brought a big smile to my face. Way to go, girl!

Kathi and Murphy

Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!

UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!

I might have spoken too soon. Her left front paw is swollen (right front leg amputated). I am waiting for a call back from the vet, but I am wondering if anybody has any ideas? We have a follow-up appt tomorrow, but I am not sure if this is something that needs to be addressed tonight.

do you happen to know if that was the paw the IV was in for the anesthesia/IV pain meds?  Jill's paw that she had the IV in was swollen afterwards, they told me it could happen from that and to just keep an eye on it............

Ok try to breathe. Limb swelling does happen, not often, but it does and it's usually not serious. Definitely a good idea to call the vet though. Let us know what they say.

As for photos, here's how to add images to your posts. If you still have challenges just let me know, I'm happy to help.

Hang in there, it's probably nothing at all but I'm glad you called the vet.
