Hi Andrew!  My pup, Griffin, was taking Palladia recently.  For the initial prescription, we purchased the meds from his hospital, but I started looking into online vet pharmacies due to the high cost.  While we discontinued Palladia (Griffin is back on IV chemo), I found these online pharmacies with Palladia at a much more reasonable cost than the hospital:

https://www.hea.....blets.aspx

https://www.all.....ablet.aspx

https://www.cal.....h=palladia

Many online pharmacies offer discounts for autoship orders, which you can cancel at any time, so it is worthwhile to sign up.  Many places also offer discounts for first time orders, so do a quick Google search for promo codes for the pharmacy you choose.

Good luck! ~ Stacy (Griffin's Journey)

Griffin lived an amazing life for 11 years! Diagnosed with osteosarcoma on March 17, 2020, Griffin's right forelimb was amputated on April 2, 2020. Ten days later he was running and playing fetch! Lung metastasis discovered in July 2020 did not slow down Griffin and he lived joyfully for the next 7 months, passing peacefully at home on February 11, 2021. https://griffin.tripawds.com

Oh my gosh that face! What a cutie! Thanks for sharing all those great pics.

Did your vet have any they recommend? Check out our Veterinary Specialists Referrals Forum topic and post if you don't see a San Diego one. Also, have you tried reaching out to this practice?

https://vshsd.e...../oncology/

You can also search for an AAHA-accredited clinic, which is our go-to recommendation when searching for a top notch practice.

As for physical therapists, follow the link about information for Tripawds Foundation to pay for your first rehab visit , and scroll down for a few directories of credentialed providers. To be reimbursed, the provider must be a CCRT or CCRP credentialed therapist.

If you'd like help narrowing down your choices let me know.

UPDATE

so I went to a consult for possible amputation. the clinic can do it no problem but they would like to see where the increased MG for palladia goes first. If this increased dosage from 75 to 80 mg starts shrinking it, then that would be the best outcome so we can eventually remove it surgically. If not then we would increase palladia another 10mg and hope for the best. IF that doesn't work as well, then amputation it is.

Its going to be a very stressful and hard few weeks to say the least. I will continue to update you all on Jelly's situation.

I would like to thank you all for responding and giving me all the suggestions and referrals. I will definitely keep this post in mind when I run into these situations.

I do see the first rehab appointment can possibly be paid for by Tripawds! that is so awesome! I also see the possible amount of money to be given for surgery etc. depending on who wins it for the month. I will keep an eye on both of these when I need it!

Thank you for all the compliments on Jelly's pictures! I have plenty more I will share!

Hi - Try searching for online pharmacies outside of the US.  This one in the UK seems to have all 3 dosage levels (10mg, 15mg, and 50mg) in stock for prices lower than the pharmacies I originally listed: https://www.90d...../palladia/

Hey guys, a little public service announcement here about searching for the lowest pet drug prices online. Please be VERY careful and never buy anything without your vet's blessing. Lots of counterfeit pet drugs are making their way through the internet and harming pets. See:

I’ll keep that in mind, thanks!

Does anyone have any input on generic brand meds? Palladia is the name brand, and a clinic I went to for her consult for surgery/amputation was able to get me a compounded Palladia. So everywhere I went to get her Palladia was sold out for some dumb reason. I do not want her missing not even one dose so i asked the clinic.

they are able to get me my 30mg of toceranib phosphate which is what Palladia is. I just wanted to get everyone’s input before purchasing it or going an alternate route.

Hi.  I do not know of any generic brands for Palladia.  It usually comes in 10mg, 15mg, and 50mg tablets.  Griffin's dosage was 70mg, so he took one 50mg and two 10mg tablets every other day.  The shortage has been going on for some time, so I wouldn't count on it ending soon.  Good luck!

Hello, my English Bulldog Bender had a front leg amputation at 6 years old. It was a long recovery but he did enjoy another year of life before the cancer came back. rnAt 11 years your bully has outlived most others of the same breed. If Bender was that age, I might not have made the same decision. I would suggest exhausting all medical / radiation / chemo options before moving forward. rnIf you do move forward and need any advice, please reach out. As they are big chested/low to the ground, they need special care. rnBest of luck (praying for that beauty).rnhttps://bender.tripawds.com/ rnrnps. Hi everyone!
