Hello..  Arbi's Dr. called me after she was out of surgery.  It took longer than expected,  but she was doing just fine.   They kept her overnight to monitor her pain levels and what not.   I was ADAMANT that she get everything she needed to be comfortable.    Pain meds is not a place to penny pinch.    They said they too believed in that as well.    They called me later and asked if I would approve of some spray for her incision..  Of course I approved.      I have confidence they are listening to me.    I have been glued to my phone in case there were any calls about Arbi.. and sleep ... well.. I got what I could... I am up trying my best to prepare for the day, so I can be there for my girl.    ❤️

YAAAAAY!!!   Surgery is done!!!!👏👏👏  And it does sound like you have  a Vet team responsive to your concerns. 👍

When you go to pick Arbi up from the clinic, don't even bother to look at her incision or draw attention to it. She just wants to see your happy smiling face and know that she's going home!

Stay connected with us and let us know how we can help you navigate through recovery. We call it a  roller coaster ride as it's full of ups and downs.

She may not feel like eating much at first and she probably won't poop right away. Drinking and peeing are important though. It may take her a couple of days to get her sea legs so no worries there. For now it's just about rest and more rest. Arbi will recover at her own face in her own way so follow her lead. Just keep your energy strong and confident and positive and Arbi we will pick up on that and get reassurance from it.

You've got this! You are far stronger than you may think. We see your strength.

Hugs

Hello..!!    I was up early and kept reading, and re reading  all the forums and getting myself prepared.   It was far easier to get her than I would have thought.!!   My imagination ran away with me.. lol...   I did just as you instructed.    Just look at her.!   They carried her to me,  placed her on the table.. I went right to her sweet face and talked with her... she was happy.!!   We had a tail wag... picked her up and carried her to the car.  She is not one that will walk out.   She drank lots of water and ate a few bites of some good chicken.   She's laying in her bed and honestly hasn't moved much in several hours.   She's pretty much out of it for the moment.  I am keeping a calm house.. diffusing lavender.. not just for her.. but for me as well.!!  I am sure there will be many many questions as we go though this...  thank you for all your support .. it is priceless..

Hugs.. ❤️🐾❤️

Awww you did GREAT! And she already ate something? Wow that is progress!

Yes we always think it's worse than it really is. Arbi just wants to get well, her sleeping is medicinal.

I like the calm house ambiance, yes, it's for you too. Smart!

She will be out of it for a while, that's to be expected. I'll watch for updates in your new topic here:

Talk to you soon.
