Radar is home and resting. He only took a few bites of his dinner... but he's had a ton of water and a watermelon popsicle my daughter made for him. He's also been out to pee twice. He has no idea how to walk with 1 back leg, but I assume that will come. He's wearing a surgical suit and me holding the back of it as support seems to work better than the sling. The incision looks great and I'm pleased at how peaceful he is!! He's sleeping so deeply I keep doing breathing checks... I wish I could figure out how to attach a small video or picture...
Thanks for all the support!

Drinking and peeing.....YAAAAAAY!! 👏👏 Even if he just ate a little, that's still great news!👏 I love that your daughter made him a watermelon popsicle...so sweet💖
Radar will get hois sea legs.....may take a few days. Right now he still has some good hospital meds left in his system, as well as still shaking off anesthesia.
Here's a link for adding images . If you need help, private message me and I can help.

WOOHOO!!! Radar is on the mend!!
I'm really happy to hear things are going well. He's made a ton of progress already, and even those little things are a VERY big deal right now so don't forget to celebrate
I remember doing a ton of breathing checks with Jerry. There was no sleep that first night. But I was far more nervous than he was!

I cannot wait to see your handsome boy! Adding images isn't as hard as it appears but if you have issues after watching that video just let us know.
That makes me so happy to hear that Radar is doing well after his surgery. Hoping you like the surgery suit I liked it for my dog.
I have to walk my dog because I live in an apartment. The first few days were pretty rough with walking because we have to walk pretty far. I used the sling and I agree it wasn’t great but it did get the job done. I carried it with me for several weeks when we walked just in case he needed the help. Then I got a ruff wear harness
that once it’s on it is easy to grab the handle and help him out a little bit. I think that was helpful too.
If I remember correctly the first day or two was pretty peaceful with the sleeping. Then he switched up where he liked to sleep and did move around a bit. It concerned me but I think it was just him coming off the meds and everything from the surgery. That went on for awhile. Eventually he went back to some of his usual places and now he is back to all the usual places. For the first few weeks it was scramble to put a bed or a blanket down somewhere he wanted to sleep.
