Ok...I accidentally deleted the post i was going to submit.....so i had to re-write it,poor me :P .

So,the people who already saw my post on Treatment, Recovery, Oncology and Ongoing Care, know about my doggy,Maxi, but to put it short,he was in a car accident and had surgery, all his paws are in place,he is currently recovering now,and its been about...a week since he had it,he had two fractures, mayor ones,on the front left leg and right back leg.

My question is. he is an outside dog,one of the reasons he had the accident was because we can't watch him all day or control where he is. so i want to bring him indoors. He had been in to the house when younger,in fact,he was playing and got up,got downstairs to the backyard and did his busyness, and came up back upstairs. the only "accident" he ever had was because he found the training pad my other dog"a tiny chihuahua* uses and peed all over the bathroom floor, which i see pretty reasonable since it smells like a toilet to him xD. I don't know if he will be able to "learn"how to move around the house,he is a little big(size of a Golden retriever) and is medium-henergy,he gets tired easy, but at the same time does not....does that makes any sense?...lol

This may had been coincidence,or may be not. i want him to live with us so he can be watched over better and more comfy. What do you think?

some extra info: He is neutered. One year and a half old. Does not go into the house unless given permission,he is very respectful on that.

yes,my house is a two story building. I have the chihuahua, chickens, two roosters, one cat*inside and neutered too*
and a parrot who does not come much out,the cat plays rough with her.

and yes they all live very well, not perfectly, but they do.

Thanks in advance, and lots of love!

Oh my gosh yes, absolutely. Yay for you!

All dogs really want to be with their people, we are pack animals. Plus, animals who stay inside with their people tend to live longer, healthier lives. It sounds like all of the animals live in harmony, which is fabulous. You may have some challenges when it comes to re-training and showing him that furniture isn't for chewing and things like that, but it's nothing you can't handle. If you have any training issues my friends at MySmartPuppy.com are wonderful with dog training advice.

If you were talking about a cat, I think it would be a LOT more challenging but for him, I'll bet he will LOVE being inside all day.

I'm happy to hear that he's doing well!

I agree. He will know he belongs if he's inside. That's where I'd want to be if I were a dog!

I'm confused about what you're asking.  I think you want to know about housebreaking?  As with all our pups here, we housebroke them with consistency, persistence, encouragement, and a ton of praise.  I could imagine that with another little dog that can pee in the house, on piddle pads, it may take more time and patience.  I expect with love, A RIDICULOUS CRAZY HIGH PITCHED SUPER POSITIVE praise, your pup will get there.  If that's the only thing, you two are going to have a great time together.  Having an indoor dog is the best!  Such loveable, loyal, fun companions.  Enjoy!

ACL tear in right hind leg 12/5/12 and scheduled ACL repair surgery 12/21/12. Pre-op xrays revealed osteosarcoma. Amputation 12/28/12.  Chemo (carboplatin) started Jan 10, 2013 and ended on April 5, for a total of 5 doses. He handled carbo like a champ!  No side effects.  We started metronomic therapy at his third chemo and have been also doing some holistic treatments.  He's a lively, playful 10 year old huskie-boarder collie and a very proud member of the Winter Warriors!  Our love. Our funny little guy!
