My Sweet girl Maddelein had her left rear leg removed two years ago because of cancer; we did the chemo and everything has been fine for well over 700 days. About 2 1/2 weeks ago she refused to walk/ she seemed to be in pain when she walked.  She in only able to walk about 4-5 steps and then calaspes/ needs to take a rest.  I brought her to the vet and we did an x-ray of her spine and other good back leg and everything looked ok. Her last couple vertebrae had less cushion (disks) space. Her good back leg looked fine too, but her knee looked less then great (not as much blood flow as the vet would like to see/ she had TPLO on hen good knee)  I would just like to know if anyone has had set backs similar to this, and if so, what steps and remedies to get my sweet girl up and moving again!

Thank you in advance!

So sorry to hear about sweet Maddelein. You've come to the right place for help and support.

Is your vet a CCRT or CCRP ? If not, please consider consulting with a certified canine rehab therapist for an expert orthopedic evaluation. The Tripawds Foundation can even pay for your first visit through the Maggie Moo Fund for Tripawd Rehab.
