Hi all,

I'm new to the forum and the site and a new tripawd owner too.  But so grateful to find this!

We are looking for a better , more supportive harness for our new boy .  He's a Spanish greyhound and has lost his rear left leg.

We can't decide between the Webmaster and the new Flagline . He's 27kg and he has some scar tissue on his belly which can be easily aggravated by seams etc.

So it's something that can support him comfortably as we assist him but with plenty of comfort for everyday use.

Does anybody have any reccomendations or advice,  please?

We've looked at the comparison chart here , which is super useful . But still can't decide!    Any help would be very much appreciated. 🙏🏼

Many thanks,

Sarah, Huw & Tai the tri   X

Hi Sara & furmily! Just curious, what's your pup's story?

So glad you found the Tripawd harness chart! I think that in most cases, we love the Flagline for dogs who are pretty mobile and spry. It's just easier to put on than the Webmaster. That one is pawesome for dogs needing extra support. Overall, the Flagline is our favorite these days for most dogs.

Hi Jerry,

Thanks so much for your reply. Flagline it is!

Tai is a 5 Yr old Spanish Galgo who was handed in to Galgos del Sol in Murcia last Summer. Luckily for him he was handed in by his galguerro rather than just abandoned or worse.

He already had his left rear leg missing , and it looks like it has been gone for some time.  Years probably. We will never know how it happened but we guess it was a hunting accident and he must have been a champion as its virtually unheard of for galguerros to spend money on saving an injured dog.  He also has extensive scarring on his belly , which may or may not be related to the lost leg.  We can only guess.

He came to the UK to Greyhounds in Need with 14 other Galgos in November 2021 and then to us one month ago today.  He is our 4th greyhound but our first Tripaw!

He is a super loving boy and is settling in well , although it's very early days for him, he is learning fast.

We did a little research before adopting him but we have such a lot to learn.  Thanks to finding Tripawds and learning about the importance of rehab we have just had Tai seen by a vetinary physio .

So, we are right at the beginning of our journey with him. Super grateful for this resource and so glad I found it.

You are so welcome!

We've had a few Galgos join us over the years. You're right, Tai is sooooo lucky to find his way to you. Congratulations on adopting him! Now he's living the good life!

That is WONDERFUL he saw a physio! If you'd like to share your experience I'm happy to feature it in the Tripawds News blog . Message me for details!

Ask any questions you'd like and keep us posted on how he's doing. Welcome welcome!
