Lots of folks here have had success with plain ol' doggy doors, I haven't seen any specifically tailored to a Tripawd. Since it hasn't been that long since surgery, I'm betting that he just needs more time to develop enough balance to use it without a glitch?

We just have a regular door with steps going down outside. Shooter has adapted really well to it. In fact, the steps were harder than going in and out the door except that the other dogs try and beat him in and then side swipe him!
Spirit Shooter was a Miniature Australian Shepherd who was diagnosed with a MCT and had a LF amp 1/28/13 at 13-1/2 years old.
Shooter crossed the Bridge on 8/28/13, his 7 month ampuversary and two weeks from his 14th birthday.
We had a dog door all of Dakota's life, and he adapted quite well to it after about 2 weeks. I wasn't ready for him to use it but he did anyway. Surprised me by showing up next to me outside. Just give him time, and encouragement if you think he needs it, and he'll probably do just fine.

From abandoned puppy to Tripawd Warrior Dude, Dakota became one of the 2011 February Furballs due to STS. Our incredibly sweet friend lived with grace and dignity till he impulsively raced over the Bridge on 12-15-12.
