Bathtub swiming for core strainth

Its been three months sents Bittys left back leg amp. She is having some weakness in the back right leg. I called. Her vet and she said to have her swim in the bathtub with help. Do you think this will help bild core strainth?

Many dogs take a while to get strong in that rear leg. Swimming is great for building cardiovascular endurance but what's even better (as we were told by rehab vets), is to walk in water. That will build resistance, and strengthen. Fill the tub with just enough water to reach about the middle of her legs, then have her walk through it. You can try using treats to get her to walk instead of just splashing around.
