Is it possible to give your pet too many supplements? Brownie is taking the Armour up and some supplements from his vet and CBD oil. I see a lot of supplements online and I was thinking about trying pet wellbeing. Has anyone tried?

He does do well on the Armour Up with no side effects. Just wondering if I should try the Pet Wellbeing as well or would that be too much?

My Beautiful Beloved Brownie was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma on February 26, 2019.  With all odds against him he lived an additional one year and eight days with amputation, love, and prayer.  I was honored to be his mom, and I have never been so proud!  He will live forever in my Heart!

Sure, it's definitely possible if a dog or cat is having GI issues that may be related.

Which PetWellbeing products are you thinking of? I see they have many.

Your goal is to not have to duplicate efforts. It's a waste of effort and money. So if any of what Brownie is already getting is in another product you are considering, then reconsider. Plus, you'll never know what is or is not working if he's taking multiple products with basically the same ingredients.

When Jerry was fighting cancer we finally decided to stick with three supplements at a time to make life easier. We would rotate them with others occasionally just to ensure that his body wasn't getting too used to the ingredients.

So I looked into it further and you are correct. It's for the immune system and that is what I believe armor undies.

I have been trying to order Apocaps but they have been sold out.

Oh I didn’t know about the Apocaps being sold out, where are you trying to get them from?

Thanks for sharing Dawn, I like the rule of 3.

So is feeding the sardines 3 times a week the same as fish oil?

That is a GREAT question! I had to do a bit of research, because I wanted to know myself.

Sardines are packed with healthy Omega-3 fats, more than other fish. This article tells why sardines are a great choice to eat in all aspects (little risk of mercury, sustainability, health, etc.).

High quality fish oil is a blend of multiple fish types, to achieve the highest benefits possible, in as small a dose for the animal. See:

https://nutriti.....diet-tips/

Dr. Dressler of the Dog Cancer Survival guide recommends "If your loved dog has a cancer at this time, you want to get as much omega 3 in him or her as possible. Start slowly and work your way up to large amounts over about 2 weeks to avoid an upset stomach." He does, however, prefer the benefits of krill oil over fish oil to fight cancer

So, to answer your question, I would say if you want to cover all your bases, a vet-approved blend like Wellactin with sardines a few times a week is a great way to go in my non-vet opinion. We try to do this for Wyatt Ray , but usually end up with just one can a week because he gets so farty when he has both!

That's funny! What the heck is krill oil? I will probably go with the Wellactin and sardines because all three of them love them and as far as I know, no farts.

Krill is another type of fish with similar benefits to sardines, but apparently it packs a greater punch of Omega-3s at half the dosage of a typical fish oil.

Our vet is the one who told us about Welactin, she endorses it because of the research behind the product. Good stuff.

Go directly to the website to order the Apocaps .   I used them for Sassy.

https://apocaps.com/

There is a little button that says buy direct from manufacture or gives you the chance to see if anyone in your area sells them.

Thank you Michille, I will try that. Sorry about Bosch and Sassy. I saw some photos and they are beautiful and rockwilers are so smart! Do you think the apocaps helped?

You can purchase Apocaps through this site again. Amazon has stock. Ordered mine yesterday with no problem. I got the small bottle to see how Brownie does on them. According to the instructions he is to have 9 pills a day! But I heard they are very small.
