My daughter’s beloved 3 year old pup has just been diagnosed with Adneocarcinoma. ( spelling?) It is basically a cancer tumor in the nose. It has started to break down his skull bone, but has not invaded his brain. They are going to do radiation. My question is, are there any supplements that may help him. He has always been fed grain free and they have begun fish oil and a Chinese herb, not sure of the name. Has anyone here experienced this type of tumor? Their hope is 1-2 years with treatment. He is so young and they are so sad. I want to feel that I am helping a in some small way. Thanks in advance for any advice! LORI, Ty and the gang. BTW his name is Gunner and he is a hound type of dog. He was rescued as a stray found under a porch.

TY GUY, Best Black Lab ever! Diagnosed  and had amp in January, 2014. Kicked MRSA's butt. Earned his angel wings on April 16, 2014. Run Free my boy and don't forget a shoe. Ty is a proud member of the " April Angels". Ty sent us Daryl, a Tripawd rescue in Sept. of 2016. Daryl is 5 +or -. We are also Pawrents to Chandler, a Border Collie mix who is 15 and 1/2, Lucy, a Corgi who is 7, 2 minis, 2 horses, and a feisty cat named Zoe. Zoe had a non skeletal Osteosarcoma removed in July 2015. No Chemo, she was at least 16. She is going strong although she is now completely blind. She is now close to 20 and her hobbies are eating and sleeping in front of her personal heater.

Oh Lori I'm so sorry this happened. Gunner is just a wee thing, I would be heartbroken as well. Where are they getting the radiation therapy done?

When I think of supplements a nasal tumor I think of two big success stories of beating adenocarcinoma/nasal tumors. They are featured on the K9 Medicinals Testimonials page, and they are Shadow and Milo, be sure to check them out OK? The two big medicinal mushroom supplements we like K9 Immunity and Armor-Up with Epicor, both fantastic ways to boost the immune system in order to beat off that nasty disease. Have your daughter call K9 Medicinals with any questions, those folks are so nice.

We hope Gunner has a long, healthy life ahead of him. And why not, he's got his uncle Angel Ty looking out for him from above.

Coming back, but just popping in real quick to see if JERRY or anyone, remembers a tripawd member who was going on three years (I think) with a nasal tumor.  I think it was osteo thst brought him him, and the mention  of the nasal tumor was just an aside.

LOVE YOU LORI!!!!!!!!!   I'll be back later.....

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!

LORI!  I FOUND IT!!   Well, found somthing......not sure of this was the one I was thinking of.  Anyway, the pup was alread a year survivor  with nose cancer, and then had amputation for osteo later.

Maybe you can contact the Hooman and find out what the protocol was in addition to radiation.

The fact that I was actually able to use the right search word in the eight place to fund this is a really good omen!!!  Miracles are happening!!

You might check jnto Yuan Byaio and maybe Turkey Tail.  I think they are in the mushroom family.   Also.  ask about Piroxicam  too.

Sorry you and your daughter are dealing with this.  One thing I know for certain, Hounds are tough as nails!!!   What may take a toll on other dogs, Hounds shake off as no big deal.  As Jerry said, you have Ty watching  over Gunner.

And how is Darryl  doing?

Always smile when I see Ty's banner.  Such a sweet boy❤

Lots of love

Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too!

THank you all! I am going over to read Abby’s story next! My daughter and son in law have decided on cyber knife. It is radiation, but very precise and he only has to get 2 or 3. I will have to ask her of the name of herb he is taking. All I know is it is a Chinese herb the vet gave them. This poor pup has been sick since they rescued him 3 years ago. He was finally diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder last year. Now this ! He is their baby! Sally, Daryl is doing well! My bed is still his favorite spot in the house. Lucy and Chandler are hanging in there too. 🤣❤️
