Hello Amy and Family,

I am soooo sorry to hear of Libby's passing. I have followed your trials and tribulations over the past 14 months. Words cannot begin to describe the immense loss you and your family feel right now!! I hope you can take solace in knowing that your beautiful Spirit Libby is now watching over her pack as you guys did for her for so long.

I know this pain will never go away but hopefully in the days, weeks and months to come it will ease to a point that you know that you did the best thing anyone can do; providing an amazing, quality life for the past 14 months.

The world would be a much better place if we have more amazing people in this world like you and all the Tripawd members.

You, your family and most importantly, spirit Libby , are in our thoughts and prayers!!!

Dear Amy,
I am so saddened to hear of your loss of Libby. She was a beautiful girl. It's a very difficult time and my heart goes out to you both.I know we lost our oldest Missy two weeks ago. As difficult as it is now for you and your husband, as time moves forward the tears are less and replaced by smiles and memories. That's always with you.
We all here know the difficult road we all travel with our babies and this terrible disease.
She was a lucky dog to have such care and love given to her,

Your in our thoughts,
Esther and her Snoop

Aw, Amy...

So, so, sorry to hear about Libby.

Take care of yourself, and know that you cared for, and did the best by, Libby - she certainly does.

I am so very, very sorry to hear you lost your Libby.  What a beautiful pup.

Your sweet story about the ring was so absolutely touching.  What a treasured memory!  I am in tears!  It is obvious how much love was shared between you both.

We said goodbye to our Abby just over two weeks ago.

Thinking of you during this difficult time, and it is certainly difficult.

Stirling and Tahoe...Right now it really does feel like the pain will never go away.  It is hitting harder than I imagined. Thank you for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers.

Esther, thank you for your kind words while you still are grieving for Missy.  I appreciate it.  We miss her so terribly I can't even describe it.

abbybuzz is beautiful.  She reminds me of my Libby.  I'm so sorry you are going through this too.  I'm sending you many hugs.  Thank you for thinking of us.

jkripton, thank you.  I like to think she is watching over us.

AMY!  I've been away for 10d and Libby and Ty were on my mind the whole time.  WIFI there was awful and so I was in the dark.  Needless to say...

I'm a puddle.  I'm a mess.  I'm so sad.  I'm crying, face scrunching, tears streaming.  DAMN IT.  DAMN IT.

It doesn't matter - mets or TCC.  She was taken way too soon.  Way too early.  She was a star, a sparkle, a prize.  You were one lucky family to have her and she was the luckiest to have you.

This isn't what I'd thought I'd read!  I didn't bother reading your earlier post about her movement, as this one told it all.  It seemed to happen so fast.  Then again, you didn't want to have her struggle or go through too much.  You ended her struggle before it became too much.

It's been a few days since she was released to roam and frolic in the Rainbow Bridge's pool.  I'll call later to see how you're doing....after I regain my breath and tears dry up somewhat.

Oh....HUGS.  LOVE.  I have no more words....

Love you, Libby!  We miss you!

ACL tear in right hind leg 12/5/12 and scheduled ACL repair surgery 12/21/12. Pre-op xrays revealed osteosarcoma. Amputation 12/28/12.  Chemo (carboplatin) started Jan 10, 2013 and ended on April 5, for a total of 5 doses. He handled carbo like a champ!  No side effects.  We started metronomic therapy at his third chemo and have been also doing some holistic treatments.  He's a lively, playful 10 year old huskie-boarder collie and a very proud member of the Winter Warriors!  Our love. Our funny little guy!

I'm so sorry I am late seeing your post.. and sharing your sorrow.... I am sure you know my heart breaks with you….
When we let that leash go for the last time, it hurts.. and it hurts big time.  and no one.. unless of course they have been there, understands fully.  I can honestly say that even if you have lost a pet before, and you have experienced the emptyness and heartache… it is not the same.  When we lose our Tripawds... it hurts bigger...  and the heartache never seems to go away...  that is what the bond with our tripawds do to us...

It just does not seem fair at times… Libby was a fighter to the end.. and so were you guys!!! Don't ever beat yourself up by saying you didn't do enough, or you waited too long, you and Libby made that decision together..  It's been 10 months since I lost my sweet boy.. sometimes I am my own worst enemy by coming here.. if you know what I mean…   I relive the pain whenever I type these words in a post because.. I feel it again.. and know how you feel.. exactly!

Libby is still with you.. she’s lying right beside you so peacefully and quiet… she’ll follow you where ever you go. She’s leaning against you while you weep. She’ll always be around you. You see… you can  open your heart and feel her.. she’s there… always will be.. and nothing can take that away.. not even that nasty “C” word!!!

You Know What Cancer Cannot Do???

Cancer is so limited
It cannot cripple love
It cannot shatter hope
It cannot corrode faith
It cannot destroy peace
It cannot kill friendship
It cannot suppress memories
It cannot silence courage
It cannot invade the soul
It cannot steal eternal life
It cannot conquer the spirit.
and most of all.. it will never, EVER destroy that bond that you had with your sweet girl!!! NEVER!!!  Nothing can take away the bond, the love, the pride and joy that you had with Libby. Nothing. Ever.

Christine…. with Franklin in her heart♥

Franklin, he was the Happiest Dog on Three Legs! Diagnosed 09/26/2012 with Osteosarcoma, amputated 12/4/2012.  Had a wonderful 5 1/2 months painfree until he ran for the Bridge on 5/15/2013.  Always in my heart, and always a guardian angel of my pack...   You can follow his Tripawd Adventures, before and after, in my blog, Frank'n'Farter!

Love, love, love seeing Libby's banner when I signed on today. She was a very special lady and will not be forgotten.

Kathi and Murphy

Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!

UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!

Oh Katy, thank you so much for your friendship.  There's never enough time with our furbabies. Just not enough.

Christine, thank you so much for reminding me what cancer can't do. The grieving continues and you know what that feels like since the passing of Franklin (what a cutie).  I'm going to copy that list  of "can'ts".

The tears are flowing again. I had no idea those pictures of Libby were going to be a banner until I read Kathi's post. I'm touched, I'm proud and I'm crying. I can't wait to see her beautiful face when I come here.  I'm going to keep refreshing the page until I see it for myself. :) Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Words cannot express how my heart aches.  I haven't been on here for awhile because Bailey got pretty sick again.  I wish I could say words that would help and comfort you.  Everyone on here hugs you from afar. Please know that I'm thinking of all of you.  Libby is running on all fours with angel wings.  HUGS!

Love you,

Tracy and Bailey

Look what popped up!  OH, this is PERFECT!  It made me smile.  I teared a little, but I'm pleased to say that it brings MORE joy and smiles to me to see her.  Run free and fast, Libby.  We love you and miss you.

I was thinking that every time I see that banner, it makes me smile.  Still sad for you and know that you will miss her terribly, but this wonderful tribute helps keep her beautiful spirit alive.
