I have exactly two posts on this site. The first was when my dog was in amputation surgery in response to someone else whose dog was also in the process of being amputated. I said I was scared and the stores here helped.
20 minutes later the call came in. "I'm sorry but Turbo died. His heart stopped during recovery and we couldn't save him"
You drop your most loved pet off, say Goodbye, and are hopeful that the surgery will give you another or two. Instead, you have the shock of learning he is gone.
My heart is broke into a thousand pieces.
Until we meet again, my little snorting, farting, snuggle bug......
Debra, I'm speechless and heartbroken, we all are. Sorry just doesn't even sound right, I wish I had better words for you.
Why this happens, we never know. It's rare. But when it does, we all mourn, because we understand how this type of passing makes the grief even harder than it usually is. There is no amount of preparation we can do to handle news like that.
Whatever we can do to help you process this, please let us know. Call the Tripawds Helpline , blog about Turbo, tell us more about his amazing life you gave him. Introduce us to your sweet pup so we can celebrate every day you enjoyed together. And know that no matter what, Turbo's strong spirit will always be in your heart and watching over your pack for all time. He is the stars in the nighttime sky, the moon, the sun, the beauty in nature. Love never dies, it just changes form.
With all our condolences and sorrow coming your way, tonight and always . . .

I am so sorry to hear this. I cannot imagine your grief, and how much you will be missing Turbo. There just are not any words that can make it better.
Otis - 106 pound lab/Dane mix, lost his right front leg to osteosarcoma on Febuary 9, 2016. Four rounds of carboplatin completed in April, 2016. Lung mets August 25, 2016. Said goodbye too soon on September 4, 2016. Lost his adopted sister, Tess, suddenly on October 9, 2016. likely due to hemangiosarcoma.
Wherever they are, they are together.
Oh my gosh, I am so, so sorry! I can't even imagine how you are feeling right now! That is every one of our worst nightmare. Every one of us worried our way through that day, waiting for the call that things were ok so that we could breathe again. Please know that we are with you. When you can, share your story and pictures. We will hold your hand, and read your words. We understand.

I'm so very sorry for your loss. I am feeling your pain because I had to put my 14 year old beagle Kasey down on Friday.
The void they leave in our hearts is never filled. I'm sorry you lost Turbo in the manner of which you did. Kasey and Turbo are waiting for us at the Rainbow Bridge.

Oh my ... I am so sorry ....I am just stunned... my heart goes out to you. So much love to you!
Shelby Lynne; Jack Russell/Shiba Inu mix. Proud member of the April Angels of 2014.
October 15, 2000 to April 8, 2014
Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
I am so heartbroken for you..... It is hard enough to travel down the road with this journey, when you have no idea what will even happen on the journey, but those that don't even get a chance to begin their journey is so unfair...... I don't even want to imagine the pain and agony you are dealing with, but all of us do understand, and will help you through it.
Hoping all happy memories of sweet Turbo are a reminder of the joyful life you shared with him, he will never be forgotten 💜💜💜🐾
Keeping you in my thoughts,
Bonnie, Angel Polly, Pearl, and Zuzu
Cannot tell you how many times I came here to try and write something, anything, to try and support you through this. Everytime I.just sit here and shake my head as tears flow in stunned disbelief.
As you can see, everyone here is stunned, sickened and heartbroken for you and with you.
It sounds like.on top of everything else your vet may have informed you of this tragic occurrence without much empathy. I cannot imagine the gut.wrenching shock.of that call.
All we can ever do on this unpredictable journey is to proceed with what the medical community tells us is the best option. To not do that would be irresponsible. To give up on hope.and the possibility.of a good.p outcome.without ever trying.is just not in our makeup when.it comes to the love we have for our dogs. As human caregivers we feel responsible for EVERYTHING that happens, including events beyond our control. This was beyond your control!
The one belief system I've developed.through the years when all others have falied me is simply, "When it's your time, it's your time." It's not in our control. Wudda, shudda, cudda would not jave mattered.
This quicksand swamp of grief and second guessing will engulf you for a long time. Your love for Turbo.is.obviously Soul deep....and the depth of your grief will also be Soul deep.
Turbo would want you to focus on the positive aspects of his fun filled life with you. Turbo was clearly loved and spoiled and savored.every treasured second with you. How did Turbo get his name?. Feel like theree a really good story behind that name!
Holding you in our hearts and surrounding you with love.....
