We said goodbye to Rumbles today. He took a sudden turn last night and by mid-afternoon it was clear that it was time to go.
Tonight our hearts are filled with eleven years of memories of the kindest, funniest, most loyal family dog. He grew up with our children and he will live on in them. From him, we learned to think of others before ourselves, live in the moment, sniff before tasting, always forgive, and kiss everyone often!
We are going to miss him terribly.
I am so very sorry to hear of Rumbles' passing. My heart aches for you.
Run free, sweet Rumbles. The Queen is waiting for you to welcome you into the Tripawd kingdom, as well as all of the other Spirit Tripawds.

Oh, Rebecca, I am so, so sorry. I have adored Rumbles since I saw your avatar with that helmet but I fell head over heels for him the day that you posted a picture with him looking up and he had the most innocent, soulful and completely devoted look on his face. He was precious to so many of us, but I know that our sadness does not compare to the grief that you feel right now. I wish I had the words to provide you with some comfort. Please know that many hearts are broken tonight.

Zeus was a Husky mix diagnosed with Osteosarcoma at age 11. A visible lung met and suspicious spot on his liver meant a poor prognosis-six weeks was our vet's best guess. We decided to fight for our boy and his right front leg was amputated on 12/1/11. We did six rounds of chemo, changed his diet and spoiled him completely rotten. We were blessed with 10 great months after diagnosis. Against the odds, the lung met remained a single met and grew very little over those months. A wonderful furbaby with the most gentle spirit, he fought with a strength that we never imagined he possessed. We have no regrets...

Dammit, Rebecca. I hoped this day would not come. I am so sorry, but I am so glad you got those extra months. The thief did not steal your boy from you. I know your heart hurts, and I wish I could help.
Rumbles, smile on your family often and check in to let them know how you're doing. You have a huge fan club here, sweet boy.

Rebecca,
I am so very sorry for your loss. Rumbles picture always makes me smile and I could always tell how loved he was. He sure did fight this disease tooth and nail (both cancers!) and you helped him fight it with everything your family had.
Please know I am thinking of you and your family during this difficult time and sending you lots of healing thoughts and hugs.
xoxo,
Erica
Jill is a 9-year-old tuxedo kitty. She was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in June 2012 on her toe in her right hind leg. Rebecca we sit here stunned with broken hearts. Rumbles has been with this community so long, it's just incomprehensible to think he is an angel dog now. 11 years still isn't long enough.
It took a lot of courage to share this news with us today, thank you for your bravery and letting us know. Together we are sending all the love in the world to you and your family to help you through the sadness. If you want to talk, we are here for you.
Rumbles, you silly pup. We are really going to miss you around here. Please watch over our angel Tripawds OK?

I am so sorry to hear that Rumbles time has come. I thought he would just keep going. There is just never enough time with our beautiful fur friends.
Many hugs to you and your family.
Karen and Spirit Magnum
Magnum: 30th May 2002 to 5th May 2012. Lost her back left leg to osteosarcoma on 5th Sep 2011. Lung mets found on 20th Mar 2012 but it was bone mets in the hip that ended her brave battle. Magnum's motto - "Dream as if you'll live for ever, live as if you'll die today" (James Dean). Loyal, loving, courageous and spirited to the end. My beloved heart dog, see her memoirs from Rainbow Bridge ...... http://princess.....pawds.com/
So very saddened to hear about sweet Rumbles. Many of us know the heartache you are going through and we know how hard it is. So sorry you have to go through this. Rumbles brought so much life and love to your family and memories of him will be your keepsake forever. Praying for peace and healing for you and your family. RIP Rumbles. Valentina and many others can't wait to meet you sweet boy.
Being relatively "new" I didn't "know" Rumbles like many others here. But after reading the tributes and ten going back to look up some of your posts nd pictures. That guy just jumps in and puts a smile on your heart instantly!! Could anyone be more loved nd could any dog show more disdain for having his photo taken with a birthday hat on?
He is with you alwys---nothing can separate a love like that.

Our beautiful Lily was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her front leg on 12/14/11 at age 8 and had amp on 12/16/11. She completed 5 rounds of carbo. She was so brave and kicked cancer's butt daily! She lived life fully for 4 years, 3 months, and 15 days after her amp. My angel is a warrior princess. I miss her so much.
