Oh, I am so sorry to read this. I hope that sharing your grief at losing her so suddenly with all of us will help to lighten the burden some small bit. Know that we are grieving with you. What a shock, but as others said, at least she was living life to the fullest right up to the end, and at one of her favorite places.

I'm so sorry.

Boo, I know you are running pain free at the bridge now with all the other tripawd heroes and warriors who went before you. Send your pawrents some pennies so they will know you are ok!

Jackie, Angel Abby's mom

Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Tripawds blog, and a more detailed blog here. Please also check out my novel, What the Dog Ate. Now also in paperback! Purchase it at Amazon via Tripawds and help support Tripawds!

I'm so, so sorry.  I have tears in my eyes just reading your post.  I'm glad that Boo had good days right up until the end and I'm so glad that there was a vet there to help.

Jac and Angel Spencer.  Spencer was 5.25 years old. He fought a grade 3 fibrosarcoma, started on his shoulder.  Left front leg amputated in August 2011.  15 weeks of chemo finished 12/22/11 (mytox and adria).  Lung mets found on x-rays 12/28/11.  Started carboplatin 1/6/12. Went to Heaven on 2/27/12. I miss him like crazy every day.  See his blog here:  http://spencer.tripawds.com/

So very sad.  To have so much success and be able to relax just to have this happen!  You must feel blindsided.

His success over the last couple years has been such an inspiration.  Thanks for sharing his story.

Sorry for your loss.

Full of joy about my new puppy, it was like a blow to my gut to read about Boo. My heart aches for you. Brave Boo was in inspiration to so many and a rare victor against OSA. To have his life end so suddenly seems so unfair.

Please know our thoughts and prayers are with you. I hope you find comfort in your memories, and peace knowing that Boo enjoyed his life to the end.

Golden retriever, diagnosed with osteosarcoma in September 2010 — right front leg amputated November 2010. He fought valiantly to stay with us; but a second diagnosis of osteosarcoma, this time in his left front leg, was more than our golden warrior could overcome. He loved his pack — and everyone else he met.

We loved him even more.
Thanks for the pennies, Sammy. They helped.

Oh Amanda, I don't even know what to say.

I feel proud to have known Boo and had the chance to get together with you for a couple of play dates. I will always remember how incredibly soft her fur was and how fast she was on 3 legs. She was just a joy to watch move and it makes me smile just thinking about it.

I wish you had more time with her, and I know that you will cherish all of the wonderful memories together. I wish I could say more, but the words escape me.

((hugs))

Thank you all for your kind words!!!  We are hanging in there.  It's exhausting walking around with such a huge hole in my heart.  There have been so many tears, but also so much love poured upon us.  (It's only been 2 days and we've already had many visitors, cards, flowers, phone calls...)!  Boo was special and she made an impact on everyone she met.  We know that there are many difficult days ahead, but we find comfort in knowing that Boo is running pain-free...on 4 legs!  And we rest knowing that she lived a full life - surrounded by love until the bitter end!  Again, thank you Tripawd Community.  You guys and gals, tripawds and monkeybutts are the best!  {{{hugs to you all}}}  Amanda & Angel Boo!

Boo became a Tripawd Warrior Princess on Sept 8, 2009. She crossed over the Rainbow Bridge 2.7 years later on April 29, 2012. Run free Angel Boo!

Heartfelt sympathy going out to you. It's very hard to lose them in such a quick and unexpected way. I am glad that Boo was having a fun and happy time right up until the end at her favorite place. Praying for you and your family.

Oh Amanda... I am so very sorry to hear that Boo has earned her wings.  Just like Michelle said, I feel so very blessed to have had the opportunity to know her and meet her at our Michigan Tripawds gatherings.  Watching her tearing around that park at lightning speed was amazing!  You couldn't even tell she was missing a leg.  And her fur... oh so soft, like rabbit fur.  I just loved petting her... but it was hard to get her to stop running long enough to pet her!  I also remember her gorgeous greyhound smile.  That girl had such a zest for life and was a role model for all Tripawds.  I know her passing must have been a shock to you both, but it is such a blessing that she was doing what she loved to do up to the very end.

Sending you Dane leans and sloppy Dane kisses from Nova.  Thinking of you!
