Our wonderful dog has gone and left a big hole in our lifes.

Her heart was big on love, but apparently not strong enough to carry her through this difficult post amputation time. Although we knew this could happen, we never really accepted it as a possibility.

Thank you all for your support during these last 4 weeks, and we wish you to enjoy your pups for lots of months/years to come.

Peace,

Cecilia & Spirit Horacia

Cecilia

I am shocked and so sorry to read your post. What can I say? I was quite taken by Hori (as Tazzie would have been if they had met). It is good that she departed so gracefully, but it must be horrible to lose her. I will be thinking of you and hope you take great comfort in your memories as time passes.

Cecilia,

I am so sorry to hear about Hori- especially so soon. I know that this is such a difficult time for you. Hori was very blessed to have such a wonderful mom to love her the way you did.

I hope your wonderful memories fill that hole- and may your tears turn to smiles. Hori is running pain free with all the others. I believe they are enjoying quite the party up there.

You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Cecilia,

What a tragic thing to happen, we are so heartbroken and stunned to hear this. You are such a good, loving, compassionate dog Mom. Hori knew that, she knew how much you loved her. What a good girl she was for being with you one more time in the morning.

We often wonder why things like this happen, when a dearly loved pup is taken far too soon. We like to image that somehow they were put on this earth to teach silly humans some important lessons, and when their assignment is complete, they must move on to go help someone else. It hurts like hell, but it's the only way we can think of to try to make any sense of it all.

Much love and comforting thoughts coming your way from the States. Thank you for being here with us and sharing Hori's story with the world.

I, too, am saddened by Hori's passing.  My heart is with you as you face the end of the journey without your love.  This is a step we must all take in time, but it never is easy no matter what the circumstance.

Any dog with a pawrent here has a loving and special tripawd/pawrent relationship.  We are blessed as are they to have each other for what ever time we have.

RIP sweet Horicia, run free at Rainbow Bridge.

Cecilia & Spirit Horacia,

Just seconds ago I posted a reply while thinking of you and all your family.  The shock of Horacia's passing has left me speechless.  Thus, through a tear filled view of the computer screen, I want to extend our deepest sympathy at this moment.  Your entire family has shown extreme courage at taking on this journey and at your devotion to each other.  On my personal web site I have included a page dedicated to all who have shared such a wonderful relationship.  I have there a “Sunday” strip that has helped to remind me “that I will never really be without them, for the gifts that they have given me will live with me forever.”  We pray that in time you will be able to remember the wonderful times with Horacia, a smile will appear on your face, and the canyon of a hole in your life that you now feel will be filled with the warmth of those memories.

What a beautiful face! I am sorry to hear about your Hori girl. I am glad you were right there with her. She knew that you loved her and cared for her and were with her every step of the way.

I am sure your hearts are sad tonight, but soon that will be replaced with all your wonderful memories.

We are thinking of you tonight,

Gineej & Paris

Grateful for every moment we had with Paris…..no regrets!

Honoring her life by opening our hearts & home to Addy!

I too just wanted to say how sorry I am to hear about Hori.  I don't know if it's better to lose one so fast and sudden or to have to make a decision that no one should have to make, but either way it just plain SUCKS!!!

Oh Cecilia, I am so shocked to hear about your loss of Horacia.

While every story of loss brings me to tears, yours really hit me hard, probably because Hori and Rocky had their amps done around the same time. I thought we would be sharing milestones together for months to come.

I do know this, you gave her a wonderful life. And you did everything you could for her.

I am glad she was back on her feet in the end, and while I can't even imagine what it was like for you to see her pass so quickly, I can't help but feel this was a blessing for you and your family to not have to see her suffer (please understand I say that with love and compassion).
