Hello Kim and Buster,
We are so glad to hear you are doing so well. Buster's eyes are beautiful and SO full of life. He may surprise us and keep you happy for a long time to come. He looks like he is really happy! Great picture! Our hearts and prayers are with you and your family. You have more than enough on your shoulders.
Bonnie likes the cold also. I think the chemo kind of works like change of life on us. She seems to have hot flashes. We are freezing and I have to turn the fan on for her.
Take it one day at a time and know that Buster loves you for each extra day you have given him.

Kim, that is a very sweet photo. What gorgeous boys. By the look on their faces, Brandan and Buster seem to understand that life is about living for the moment. They both look so happy, despite the adversity and hard circumstances they are both coping with. Such is the outlook of a beautiful dog, and a beautiful child. We can learn so much from them.
We think you're doing a great job of following their lead. Just take it day by day, and embrace the magic in their smiles. Hang in there, we are thinking of you.

Kim,
That really IS a wonderful photo. Buster looks so happy and Brandan is so darned cute. I know you are worried about hearing Buster wheeze at times; perhaps there are some medications that could help with that. I wouldn't be too alarmed about it at this time, but you will eventually need to mention this to your vet. It is so great to hear Buster is enjoying his walks and he definitely has that sparkle in his eyes! Thanks for keeping us updated.

Hi,
Buster is such a beautiful handsome guy!! Dee also just wants to be outside - he has been waking up my mother in the middle of the night or the past 2 weeks - want to go outside. It has been quite warm at nights recently....
My mother just told me that Dee has started coughing - and I am hoping that it is nothing too serious... He is going to the vet tomorrow for xrays. Please keep us in your prayers!
Give Buster a big hug from us!

Hi,
I've decided to make the appointment with the vet for Buster. He's been almost hyperventilating at times and especially at night. Otherwise, he seems to be fine, no coughing just periods of heavy breathing. It is difficult to see him like this. I don't know why it is worse at night. So not to have an ER appt in the middle of the night , I am going to have the vet euthanize him, then cremate him.

We know how difficult this must be Kim. Please know that we'll all be there with you in spirit. We love you and Buster dearly and can't thank you enough for being such an integral part of the pack here.
You took such wonderful care of Buster, and now you are doing the right thing for him. If only words could describe our sentiment, or help ease the pain, if only a little.
Peace.

Kim -
I am so touched by this as you know our recent story. Please know that I am thinking of you and praying that you have peace during this time. We love all dogs on Tripawds.com as if they were our own, but of course we have an extra soft spot for our Nordic friends. Kisses to Buster...we wish him well on his new journey.
Love,
Erin
Kim, we are sending our love and thinking of you. This is the hardest thing in the world to do to. That we know.
Jerry's breathing seemed to be worse at night as well, in those last few days. Dr. Mullins said it might be because he was tired from activity in the daytime, his lungs were recuperating. Yes, we understand how hard it is to see our boys like this.
Dogspeed to Buster, he will always be in our hearts.
We are here if you want to talk.

Kim - my heart is breaking for you...you and Buster were one of my first connections here 10 months ago; you've walked the journey with us. Words fail me...and the tears fall as I can only imagine.
We are here for you and know in our hearts that Jerry, Lalla, Genie, Jack, Titan and all the other wonderful tripawd souls will be waiting on the other side to welcome Buster with open paws.
Please call if you need to talk - I'm always here for you.
Be strong,
Love you
