Bonnie - Will you post a picture of Polly in the fleece you made her?

Thank you, Gunilla, Linda, Carol, and Elizabeth.......seems we have opened a new topic of discussion, our ways to cope with our losses, with quirky rituals and the like. Of course, there is no better place, and no better friends than here to share this with. We are the only ones that understand this stuff, I'm sure.

Claudia.......I truly love that I have this coat that I made for Polly, and I just washed it before this winter started, so I will probably not wash it for a very long time. I know that seems gross, but it is clean and there is just too much feeling of her there with it right now. And as far as her fur goes, nope, none of that ever goes anywhere. I actually started this with my very first Lab, Duchess, back when she passed in 1999. I cut off the tip of the hair on all my Labs tails, and put in in a little jewelry zip lock bag. Of course with Polly, I have some very soft fur from around her neck as well. She lost a ton of fur during her chemo, and when it came back, it was almost as soft as cat fur around her neck. I miss running my hands and fingers through her fur. Oops, there's the tears again.......Pictures....we are still trying to locate a ton of pics that seemed to be missing, and the pics of her in her coat are part of the missing photos. It is killing me that I can't locate them. I upgraded my phone at the end of 2011, and may have lost ALL the pics that were on the older phone, and that was a very crucial year for photos. We will keep searching in our backed-up disks. Some of my pics taken from my 35 ml camera are missing as well.......we will keep searching, I know they are here somewhere.....

Hope everyones day is a blessed one.......
Much love....

Bonnie, do you still have the old phone?  If so, you can bring it to the service provider (att, verizon, etc.) and they should be able to download the photos for you.

LOVE your fur cutting ritual!

Paw love,

Claudia and Angel Jersey Girl
