I'm sorry Diane. I just wanted us to remember Magic when he felt good.
It does take a while to find a new routine. I would take my time walking through the meat section in the grocery store, wishing I could buy something for Jerry. And I hate meat! But yeah, losing that routine is very ungrounding. It takes a while, for sure.

Diane,
I am so sorry to hear about Magic! You fought for him like I did with Henri! I know your pain and it hurts!
We have lost too many Angels recently! I dont understand!
: (
Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers and I pray for peace for you!
Magic is with Henri and all the other sweet angels, Chaser, Skyler, Ruthie, Mags & Etta and they are running free without Pain!
Hugs!
Wendy & Spirit Henri!
Diane, I am so so sorry to hear about Magic. I know your heart aches as mine does right now... and I do hope magic and etta have met on the bridge too ... I wanted to share a poem with you that I originally found in my mom's things when she passed away ... It has always brought me comfort and I hope you can find comfort in it as well.... julie
In the rising of the sun and its going down, we remember them.
In the blowing of the wind and in the chill of winter, we remember
them.
In the opening buds and in the rebirth of spring, we remember them.
In the rustling of leaves and in the beauty of autumn, we remember
them.
In the beginning of the year and when it ends, we remember them.
When we are weary and in need of strength, we remember them.
When we are lost and sick at heart, we remember them.
So long as we live, they too shall live, for they are now a part of
us, as we remember them.

Our angel "Etta" amputation on 4-15-10 lost her front limb. initially dx'd with neurofibrosarcoma. However, after surgery they discovered histiocytic sarcoma a very aggressive cancer. After two full rounds of chemo our special angel lost her battle on 6-21-10. the sweetest and most gentle soul. Our lives are forever blessed for having known her...

I popped out of bed at 4 am to start Magic's pills...then again at 8 I started down the hallway to check the chart and do those...sigh...it will take a while won't it.
Hi Diane,
Yes it will take awhile. The morning after I let Mag go I was done with Tani's pills, eye meds, and breakfast in about 10 min. I didn't know what to do with myself- I was sure I was forgetting something.
You put so much effort into making Magic comfortable. In the middle of it all sometimes you think 'man, I don't know how much longer I can do this'. And now that you don't have to do it anymore you think 'what do I do now?'
I am so glad that I have Tani depending on me- and you have the cone head kitty- things will get better for us.

Oh Diane,
I am so sorry to hear about Magic. You have helped make our journey better with all of your postings... I've always loved reading what you write about Magic and life. He will be dearly missed by all of us, but most of all by you. I hope your conehead kitty Casper gives you some comfort.
Sending you tons and tons of hugs across the miles,
Holly, Zuzu and Susan
PS - I will go hug my furkids for you now. They'll wonder why my face is wet and salty.
Holly joined the world of tripawds on 12/29/2009. She has a big little sister, Zuzu, who idolizes Holly and tries to make all of her toys into tripawds in Holly's honor. And she's enjoying life one hop at a time!

Diane, so sorry to hear about Magic. Just doesn't seem right that the family is losing so many loved ones that Gus and myself began to know and become a part of as we started this sucky journey. I sure hope all of you that have lost your buddies these last couple weeks know that all of us are with you in thoughts and prayers. Our sincere sympathy, Gus and Dan
My buddy Gus had a left front amputation on April 7, 2010 and lived a great life until July 26,2010
Diane,
I am so sorry about Magic's journey coming to an end. You are so right. Cancer does suck. I am so sorry for you. Please know you are in my heart and prayers. I hope that your little guy gives you comfort in this time of sadness.
