My dear Tripawd family,

Our sweetest girl died peacefully yesterday evening. We were so blessed to have the support of a wonderful hospice team so that were able to keep our beautiful girl comfortable until the end.

I'm still in shock. Of course I knew she would die but the finality of losing her isn't real until she dies. She was my true heart girl and part of me went with her. I'll write more later after I get over this period of devastation.

I can't thank you all enough for all the love and kindness you have given us through this amazing journey of Tripawd-ness.

I love you my girl - my beautiful Tripawd Warrior Princess. Thank you my darling for your sweetest, grace and love, you are our Saint Lylee Girl.

Your Mama

Ohhhhh noooooo. Joanne & Ron, we are deeply sorry to hear this, we just saw your news. All of us know what a difficult place this is to be in right now. No matter how prepared we think we might be, it always hurts so much. The Tripawds community's collective heart is shattered.

It's just so hard to believe that our Tripawd Warrior Princess has earned her wings. She has been such a strong, pawsitive and inspawrational role model for so long. Please know that this will never change; her story, her courage and her spirit will always be a part of who we are, now, and forever.

Seize the wave Princess Lylee Girl, may your spirit guide us in our Tripawd journeys . . .

Oh Joanne,

I am so sorry. I know how much you are hurting right now. Lylee knew how much you loved her and she had a great life. Lylee was greeted by many Tripawd warriors at the bridge who are now showing her where the best beaches are :-)

Sending you tear filled hugs

I am so sorry. It was a privilege to get to know you and Lylee at our meetups,  I really was hoping that I could serve as a leaning post for Lylee again.

Lylee beat back cancer for over a year- a true Tripawd Warrior Princess.

Joanne and Ron, I am so very sorry for your loss.  Lylee was a beautiful girl and I know how much you will miss her.  Please know that you are in my thoughts and my prayers during this sad time.

Lylee - Her Royal Highness Tripawd Warrior Princess - run free sweet girl.  Until we all meet again....

Zeus was a Husky mix diagnosed with Osteosarcoma at age 11.  A visible lung met and suspicious spot on his liver meant a poor prognosis-six weeks was our vet's best guess. We decided to fight for our boy and his right front leg was amputated on 12/1/11. We did six rounds of chemo, changed his diet and spoiled him completely rotten. We were blessed with 10 great months after diagnosis. Against the odds, the lung met remained a single met and grew very little over those months. A wonderful furbaby with the most gentle spirit, he fought with a strength that we never imagined he possessed. We have no regrets...

Oh Joanne, now I know why Shelby was so restless last night. She must have sensed her beloved friend in flight. I know she and her Dad will want to write a note, but I had to say how very sad we are for you and your family. Lylee was a delight, and we looked forward to seeing you, Happy and her running toward us at each Tripawd Pawty, with her Tripawd Warrior Princess cape flying! Love and Hamburger/French Fry Breath Hugs thru the computer until you are ready for some in person. Give Happy an extra squeeze as he must be very confused and lonely today. Shelby's Mom

Joanne and Ron,

No, no, no, this is not what we wanted to read today!

Thank you for sharing Lylee with us, she truly was a Princess. So sweet and gentle. You could tell by her smile she knew how much she wss loved and adored.

Shelby is not feeling well today so I'll let her know tomorrow. I know she'll miss her friend and Flying Dutchman eating buddy.

Lylee was a courageous, wonderful friend and a true Tripawd Warrior Princess. We will miss her.

Give Happy a hug, we wish you peace. The maid and chauffeur

It is so sad to see the news of another lost Tripawd Warrior Princess. She was such a fighter and an inspiration to so many.

I hope she is running pain free with the other TWPs and the other heroes now. Abby will show her where the best beaches are and where to access the endless supply of Flying Dutchmen.

Even though we never got to meet your girl, we will miss her too and miss seeing the wonderful pictures of her enjoying the beach. She had a wonderful life with you. She will always be with you in your heart.

Sending hugs,

Jackie

Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman.
