Bless you for all you did for Toffee. For being so strong in her final moments, and for sharing her story here. I'm sure Jerry and all his tripawd pals who have passed are having a greyt time welcoming Toffee to the Rainbow Bridge.

Thank you, thank you everyone for your words and prayers and being here, through this with us. I have cried an ocean over the last few days. I am selfish, as the tears are for me and me alone. Toffee is free of pain, back on all four. Her two sisters are looking for her, watching everytime the door opens to see if she will come in with me. As full as our home is, there is a void.
We brought her ashes home this evening, and strangely, I feel comfort having her "back home." We will lay her to rest tomorrow in her "spot" in the back yard.
Thanks again for all your support and encouragement through this time.

As I read this, the tears are running down my face too. I don't think its selfish, but you deserve to be selfish, you have been fighting for Toffee and carrying the weight of all the tough decisions, trying to be strong for her and now its your time to mourn and try to heal yourself. You gave her a good life and she knew how much you loved her. I am so sorry for your loss.
