I woke up this morning with tears in my eyes, realizing it is already 9 months today, since my Polly left me for the Bridge. This also marks 3/4ths of the year as well, and only the second time this day has fallen on a Sunday, the actual day she earned her wings.....My girl, I will love you forever, and never, ever stop missing you......

I decided on this pic of her today, because although at the time it had been a very rough period for us, this pic marked the first time I could actually breathe and know that she was going to be okay from her very first medical crisis of Immune mediated thrombocytopenia.....it took many, many months, and much medical intervention to get to this point, but we did it. She was a mere 3 1/2 years old at the time....and definitely my baby girl. My sweet kitty Autumn always stayed by her side since she was a pup, and was her best buddy till the day she died....Autumn still misses her, too.

Love to all, Bonnie & Angel Polly

Bonnie,

I get the tears totally understand these milestones are really really hard.  I am thinking of you today.  Polly is always with you and especially on days like this.  Just listen and watch she will give you that sign.  I can't believe its already 9 months.  It seems like yesterday to me.

WOW... 9 months already? Hugs to you... that is a beautiful picture of Polly! So sweet and innocent. What a good girl.

I am glad your Christmas angel Polly arrived before today so you can hopefully get some smiles while looking at that - knowing she is with you always!

Much love,

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

Our tears flowmwithnyour and that dreaded lump in the throat as we try to stifle them...to no avail.

Make NO mistake about it, Polly AND you have touched our hearts so deeply. Her gentleness, her kind eyes, her loving heart, her love for you and her love for life, her heroism, her humor.....yeah, we all got to know this beautiful soul even though her journey was way too short. And we are all better of because she graced us with her presence.

And you can keep on breathing easy now, just as you did the day you took that BEAUTIFUL picture.........breathing easy because she has no more medical crises, no more pain, just having a ball at the Bridge with Maggie and Duchess being young playful puppies!

Give extra hugs to Pearl and especially Autumn. Most importantly though, close your eyes and wrap yourself up in the vision of Polly right beside you, wagging her tail and using those beautiful brown eyes to get extra treats! Now feel her love her peace and know she is still with you.

We LOVE you Bonnie!! Thank you for staying here to carry on Polly's legacy. I think she's pretty darn proud of yiu!!

Bonnie, I'm sending lots of hugs your way today, and always. Anniversaries are so hard, they are reminders of good and bad times, of what we had once and wish we had now. I always feel melancholy and try not be sad over them but it's hard. I do love the pic you shared with us, she looked so good there! And Autumn too, of course.

You and Polly went through so much together. No amount of days on a calendar can ever take that magic away. She is always with you.

Thank you all, so much........as much as this is and always will be painful when we all come up on these very sad milestones, the extreme pain has subsided and many more happy memories do remain within our hearts....most of you know the pain of which I speak, for sure, though....

Michelle and Angel Sassy....you are always there to help everyone in this community, your words truly help my heart.

Sahana and Angel Leland....thank you for your warm and caring thoughts, and yes, Polly was such a sweet girl.

Alison, Shelby and little Jasper....thank you, and you are right, I am so glad I got this wonderful keepsake for Christmas, and will enjoy it everyday.

Sally, Happy Hannah, and Merry Myrtle...you always somehow know the right words, and for that we all love you so much! I do close my eyes sometimes, and I can definitely feel all my girls still with me and in my heart, and they all had those melt-my-heart brown eyes...

Daniela and Johnnie....thank you for the warm thoughts, they certainly brightened my day...you and Johnnie just keep kicking the "ugly c" and enjoy each and every day together.

Stirling and Superman Tahoe...thank you for warming my heart, I know your pain is still raw from your loss of sweet Tahoe, but we all know how to hold each other up here, and hope each day is better for you...and my lighted Polly has added a lot of joy to my life.

Jerry and Rene....( and Wyatt) thank you once again for everything...Polly and I did go through a whole lot together but we for the most part, prevailed...just this last bump was impossible to overcome but she was still a huge success story to me and I am thankful for the time we had together, just so unbelievably thankful.

Christine and Franklin....thank you for this cartoon, it is one of my favorites and so fitting, believe me...this looks like my current pup Pup Pearl and my kitty Autumn, and Polly, Maggie, and Duchess are on the floor. (Of course in reality, they ALL would be on the bed!) Thank you.

Keeping you all within my heart, always,

Bonnie & Angel Polly

Oh Bonnie, I'm so very sorry. I know what you mean about Sundays. I'll never look at another Saturday the same again.

I loved the picture. What a beautiful baby. Her expression is priceless. It's as if she's contemplating how tasty your camera (or phone) could be and wondering if by chance you might drop it so she could taste-test it! I've seen that look a thousand times myself!! LOL!

What a sweet, sweet testament of your forever love. <3
