first i want to thank everyone for all their kind words and helpful advise, its really made me feel better about the whole thing. I feel much happer today. I went to bed last night and left her on her bed down stairs, after 5 minutes i heard a little whine then a little wuff followed by another, i went to the stairs and she was stood at the bottom, asking for help to come up. with me there on hand she went up beautifully and lay on the bed with my little staffy and they snuggleed up together, it was lovely.  Shes more her normal self today and managed coming down the stairs more easilly, but i am there on hand to keep her coming down slowly, dont want any accidents... she been much brighter and she was actually talking to me earlier, which she hasnt done since the op.  I just pray things keep going in the right direction now.

How long do need pain releif for on average? shes on 2 previcox a day and they seem to be keeping her pain free big-grin

All dogs are different but the average duration of pain meds is 10-14 days.
