Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
Inside... My boyfriend thinks its weird inside and prefers outside, but not me LOL I really wanted it inside, don't know why exactly. So its my left inside leg, like Novak's leg that got amputated.
I like it there!!! When I get up the guts to do one for Shelby... I'll do the inside of my leg too and very cool that it is the same leg that Novak lost! I would probably do that for Shelby too.

The fact that it's his ACTUAL pawprint is sooo uniquely a "bond" thi g that no ine else can duplicate, that's for sure!
Maybe we'll get to see it in person at the Virginia Tripawd Pawty!

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
Late to the game here. I got Isa's tattoo about four weeks ago. I wanted to let it heal first and then it took a while to find someone to take a picture for me (on my left shoulder blade - awkward).
Here goes:
Today is Isa's three month angelversary so it seems fitting to post today.

Nitro 11 1/2 yr old Doberman; right front amp June 2014. Had 6 doses carboplatin, followed by metronomic therapy. Rocked it on 3 legs for over 3 years! My Warrior beat cancer, but couldn't beat old age. He crossed the Bridge peacefully on July 25, 2017, with dignity and on his terms. Follow his blog entitled "Doberman's journey"

Maybe we go together in May and I'll hold your hand? consider the gauntlet thrown down! think about it, we could have a massive pilgrimage to a tattoo parlor. That would certainly make the pawrty one for the record books, not that it isn't that already!

Ruby, Staffy, born June 2022, became a Tripawd, November 2023, adopted January 2024.
Also Angel Tripawd Meg (aka The Megastar), who died in April 2023, aged 14, after seven glorious years on three, and Angel Staffies Elsie Pie and Bille. In the pawprints of giants...
No comment about the tattoo parlor. I don't like needles either. I am sure my family would have a cow if I came home with a tattoo LOL

TERI!!! This is absolutely STUNNING!! And what a great time to showcase it today! We get to celebrate the beautiful life of the beautiful Isa with you. And, of course, you-know-who has popped up twice today already!
The remembrance tattoo is just lovely Teri. It really, really is. Yes, Isa DEFINITELY left her pawprint in your heart, and ours too. That sweet, sweet Isa showed "mature" dogs age is just a state of mind.

oh believe me Michelle, my family has no idea about either of my tattoos and I will be sure to wear sleeves when anyone visits! Although maybe because this one is for Isa, it might be more acceptable. Still not a risk to be taken.
Funny, I haven't seen Isa's banner in weeks. But I came into the office this morning and my Tripawds calendar had fallen off the wall (cleaning crew most likely) and it was sitting on my desk with her page/picture face up - just popping in to say hello.
