We took Tanner to a video shoot today. Dr. Pasternak with Helping Hands is putting together a video commercial to help ease the minds of parents who's pups are facing amputation. The videographer said Tanner gave her the best "active" footage yet....that's my Tanner, he's such a nut. The most awesome part of the day was meeting the cutest little bipawd named Miguel who lives right here in Central Va! He was born without front legs and is 3 years old. He is part of the Mia Foundation (they rescue disabled dogs). I even watched him "tell off" a 100 lb rottweiler (Miguel is a chihuahua that weighs maybe 3lbs). Miguel's mom posted a bunch of pictures to FB, too many for me to post here but I wanted to share b/c I have invited him to the next East Coast Tripawd Party and his mom wants to come!

You'll even catch a glimpse of Milo in these. He's wearing pajamas with the bright yellow "nervous" harness on. It was his first trip to the dog park, and yes, he got his FIRST puppy latte this morning Sally 🙂

Isn't he the cutest little pup?!!!

Sally, go to this link. I shared Miguel's pics from the shoot on Tanner and Milo's FB page. There are just too many and photobucket is being slooooooooow. Tanner did some of his "tricks" for the camera. He can sit, lay down, sit up, go around in circles (both directions), and touch food with his nose on command. I hope some of those make the video!

OMG .. those are so great!!!! What an honor for Tanner and inspiration for sweet Miguel. SO cute!

I love Milo's little harness ... perfect!

You're awesome, Elizabeth! Thank you SO much for all you do to reduce the stigma of being owned by pets that don't fit "society's norm". We all know tripawds and two-leggeds and one eyed dogs with attitude are the best but thanks for sharing our message out to the rest of the universe!

Shelby Lynne; Jack Russell/Shiba Inu mix. Proud member of the April Angels of 2014.

October 15, 2000 to April 8, 2014

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
