i guess you have to be careful what you say around angel dogs. i was talking to Roane a while back and mentioned that when she left my laughter went with her. She had to be in on everything i was doing and she loved to be goofy and it made me laugh, which made her even more goofy! Apparently she decided that a mom without laughter was unacceptable!

We got 5 pigs at the beginning of July. when my brother in law dropped them off the smallest one wasn't doing very well. the next morning i went out to feed them and she was downsmiley5 I have an XL dog crate that has seen better days and has been modified for baby farm animals that need a little extra TLC. into the crate she went for lots of milk replacer and mash. she spent 5 days in the crate in my kitchen, i really though we were going to lose her for a while there. She would get up and fall over, have a seizure then fall asleep and go down so hard you couldn't wake her. After day 5 and no more seizures we moved the crate out to the pig pen so she could visit her friends but not over do it. Wonders never cease to amaze me because she made it and is the spunkiest, bounciest most friendly little pig!

i told Roane i wasn't ready for another dog so apparently she improvised and found me a pig that thinks shes a dog LOL. As i was putting little pig in the kitchen crate i couldn't help but thinking how much roane and gypsy would have enjoyed the whole thing. They loved new baby animals and i could picture her sticking her head in the crate to say hello!

this is my new buddy with the grain bag she stole while i was fixing her feeder!

I love pigs! I'm so happy your little buddy has recovered because of your great nursing skills.

I live on a residential lot and my neighbours have chickens and ducks (not allowed but I love them). Since they push the boundaries I'll try to convince them that they need a pig who I can enjoy.

Good going Roane!

Kerren your neighbors definitely need a pig for you to enjoy!😁😉

It been a few years since we've had pigs and i forgot how much personality they have. Its funny i was originally the one who wasn't sold on the idea when my husband announced he wanted to get 4 pigs this year. Then the farm selling them had 5.... then they gave us a replacement pig thinking the worst.... now we have 6!!! Plus 20 Turkeys, 6 Guinea hens, 6 laying chicken and 100 meat chickens. 🤦‍♀️ 🐈Moe cat has his hands full helping me with this bunch lol

Oh Bev, I'm so glad Roane sent you a pig! Roane knows her mama too Well! So glad the baby pig is ok. Name?

I remember that pic of Roane putting her nose up to the pen nose to nose with the pig. I could hear the video but I couldn't see it. Can you try again, maybe it's just me.

So happy you got a new baby! Roane knew exactly what to send you!

I think Roane was trying to teach me something with this one. I was still feeling guilty that i couldn't fix her. Maybe she wanted to show me i can fix something, and a lovable little pig was just the thing!smiley4 she's literally having her best life ever and it makes me so happy watching her!

We're calling her Little pig aka princess pig. her friends are Brother and sister and on the other side of the pen we have Big Pig (he's the replacement pig & he's older) and grumpy pig (always fussing at big pig) and the old man (because of his long whiskers and furry face) Most of the turkeys are getting processed but i have 2 heritage turkeys named evil and knievel that are staying with the flock. Their a crazy pair that fits there name!

Thanks for sending the video to me Bev.  How adorable. Roane new just how to give her mom her laugh back!  And we can't fix everything, all we can do is try, and Roane knows you tried, and everything you do was for her.  So don't feel guilty. sp_hearticon2sp_hearticon2sp_hearticon2

Roane has a great sense of humor! Thank you for sharing, this made my day.

Little piggy is soooo cute, she's very dog-like and so lucky to be part of your farm. I had no idea you had so many critters, I'm jealous smiley4

Nancy, thank you for bearing with me on the technical difficultys! Im glad the last video came through! I still feel guilty now and then but the book you let me barrow really struck home and helped me heal ❤

Sally, you are so right i wish more people had the opportunity to make the connection from farm to plate. It gives you a whole new appreciation for life. Roane is definitely here laughing, only she would send me this pig! 🤪

Rene, Roane certainly put a twist on this one! I swear this pig is getting directions. "Psst little pig do this it will make mom laugh"

It's been a few years since we've had this big a crew at the mini farm but since im working from home now we figured why not go "whole hog" 🤣🤣🤣 my niece next door is trying to talk uncle wayne into a couple of goats next!!!

I had pet goats. Very sweet, and will follow you around like a dog. Brownie use to carry the feed bucket for me. They are a lot of fun, and very sweet, but also very messy! But they are worth the work.

One of my goats was Billy. How I loved him! One day when we came home we heard the dogs gping crazy in the house and couldn't figure out what was going on. Well Billy climbed over the patio, and was trying to come into the house through the doggie door. When we walked in we Saw this goat head sticking thru the doggie door just looking around. I can't help but think what would of happened if he got in.  lol

OMG nancy this is totally something that would happen at our house! I can picture the goat in the dog door! Ummm excuse me, little help here??? Just a goat trying to get inside with the rest of the crew!

I may have to reconsider those goats 😉 sounds like it could be fun lol

Having the family in on the farming is very cool. My niece and my daughter have been dubbed pig whispers this year.

My nephew has had his ups and downs with it. Freshman year we processed chickens and he helped. He was so proud and was telling a friend about it. he got a detention for "inappropriate conversation" 🤦‍♀️ the next year he was in an agricultural class and his teacher told him if he explained the process, pros vs cons and took pictures he could do a presentation. He got an A 😁

Yea for your Nephew!

Bev I don't know how you do it. I understand the farm to plate, but I just couldn't do it. Even though it is known that farmers our the biggest animal lovers! And Bev you have proved that over and over again!

The goats are fun! No e actually thought they were dogs.  lol
