WOW, what a fabulous update! I LOVE all the pictures, ALL of them!!
I'm sorry your weather is still cold but I think Happy Hannah secretly prefers cuddling inside by the fire with Mama. Shhh, she told me not to tell you that because she thinks you REALLY want the warm sunny weather.
No problems eating - EXCELLENT
Gradual changes - EXCELLENT
I don't know anything about either drug. Is it possible that a homeopathic pain treatment could work during the wash out period? I honestly know nothing about this but the idea popped into my head.
I know this is hard and you're scared but you're doing a fabulous job staying in the present. Yay for Mama Sally and Yay for Happy Happy Hannah.
Sending both of you much love,
Claudia and Angel Jersey Girl
What an update, and what amazing pics of you and Happy Hannah! Sending muchas smooches your way...
I'll update in a bit on Lexie, but suffice it to say that we're with you and Hannah on that.
Just in the for what it's worth column, after her scary downhill time this weekend, the emergency vet supplemented the Tramadol she had been on with an extra dose of that plus Gabapentin (same thing as Lyrica for fibromylagia and chronic pain), and that seems to have really helped. It takes about three or so days to build up in their bloodstream, and I can tell it's making a big difference.
Now if we just had superpowers and a magic ray gun for those breathing episodes...
Isn't it wonderful when they're in that extra happy place with you and just loving life? This afternoon Lexie ran (as I clutched my own chest) right behind Milo to the front door when The Evil Mailman Who Must Be Warned had the audacity to again come to our door and put mail through the slot.
I've never been so happy to see them attack the mail in my life!
Lots of hugs to you and Happy Happy Happy Hannah.
Deb and Angel Lexie* Diagnosed at age 13. Tried radiation first; wish we had amputated upon diagnosis (even with lung mets). Joined Club Tripawd April 2014 & Lexie loved life on 3 legs! Advice: Start physical therapy as soon as your vet clears it, especially hydrotherapy if available :-) See Lexie pics here.
What a lovable and smoochy face!! And those eyes....... She is so beautiful and it sounds like she is loving life and food and of course, most of all-- you
Lily is sending huge smoochies back and we're both sending hugs and much love!
Joan and Lily
Our beautiful Lily was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her front leg on 12/14/11 at age 8 and had amp on 12/16/11. She completed 5 rounds of carbo. She was so brave and kicked cancer's butt daily! She lived life fully for 4 years, 3 months, and 15 days after her amp. My angel is a warrior princess. I miss her so much.
