First of all, a very happy holidays to everyone.

To those of us who are facing our first holidays and new year without our special tripawds (and other much loved furry family), my heart goes out to you all.

It's been just over 6 months now since Peda left - time has gone by so fast but her loss is still very raw. I have found the last few weeks particularly hard - but I guess it's going to be like that.

As a few of you know, somewhat unexpectedly, not long after Peda passed, I had a new pup enter my life. Boots is now just over 8 months old and is still a very rambunctious toddler! She is an Anatolian Shepherd which is a fairly rare breed here in Australia - even rarer in Perth (a shout out to Mary and her ASD Cemil!).
I have to say, while Boots drives me totally mad some days, and we butt heads often, she has also managed to keep me sane and to be able to weather the highs and lows of Peda's loss. I suspect Boots and Peda have a bit of a collusion going as on Peda's 6 month angelversary, Boots spent 2 days in hospital with acute gastro & suspected partial obstruction!! Talk about a distraction .... little bugger!! Boots is a very sooky dog and often loves to cuddle up on my lap (which for a nearly 40kg / 80lbs dog), is quite a feat! It's a joy to have a new dog in my life - and as many of you know, they in no way replace our angel tripawds. I had forgotten how much work puppies are - it was over 10 years since I had to wrangle puppies!

I shall try to post a pic of Boots a bit later today - need to jump on a computer to upload a photo.

Hugs and pats to all your tripawds :)

Kirsty, Angel Peda & naughty Boots.

Kirsty,

Good to hear the update.  I know what you mean about wrangling puppies.  It took Sassy to send 2 and it still doesn't make up for missing her.  Its been 7 years for me and these 2 are a handful LOL.  There are pictures of Snickers, Princess Jasmine (my brother, niece & nephew's dog) & Bosch on my webpage.  I am sorry that Boots had such a scare.  Hope things are on the mend for you & her.

Hugs

Thanks for checking in! Looking forward to seeing those pics.

For those who don't know Cemil's story, we last heard he is still amazing everyone.

Yeah, that Peda is indded in colusion with Boots and new exactly what she was doing by putting that puppy in your life!! Good job Peda!!

You HAVE to get us pictures! If I can do it..A N Y B O D Y can!! The pressure is on kiddo!

That Cemil is an amazing story..what an i spawration..Kristy, Happy Hannah and I posted a little Tripawd Angel remembrance last week under "Shout Outs. I hope you got to see it because Peda is certainly an a pup who will live in our hearts forever. I kow the "holiday season" can be brutal when you've lost a loved one.

But then, again, as soon as that over-grown junk of love called "pupy" jumps up on your lap, the smiles take over... just like Peda planned it!

Love and hugs tonyou and all your pack! You are very special to us.

Sally and Happy Hannah

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
