Awesome Pawesome Secret Agent Sam.  You should be our Intel Officer.  Well I was going to do a whole lot of writing tonight, but we went to this bonfire party at my pawrents' friend's place and there were soooo many monkey dogs to play with and I kind of wore myself out, so I am going to have to check back in tomorrow.

As for you Stooper Cooper, of course you know how many tripawd members there are because the computer told you, but guess what.  Your number is off by at least one because I joined tripawds in order to infiltrate, but I am a monkeydog through and through.  and there are probably as many monkeydogs as tripawds members.  You know the "silent majority"?  because most tripawd dogs have brothers and/or sisters that are usually quadpawds, so NYAGH! rasberry

well Mattie I hate to break the news to you yet once more , but it is impossible that there are that many monkeydogs out there .. especially based on the premise of them being "the silent majority" as everyone knows that monkeydogs are far from silent.. so NYAGH to you Mattie and I guess "sercret agant Sam is going to have to get makeover - cause its gonna be awful hard for a polka dotted dawg to sneek anywhere

As the Official Legal Pants for the AMBF, I have spent several hours researching the question posed by Tai09, as requested by our fearless leader, Sooper Cooper. This is what I have found out. Most dogs are born with the potential to be BOTH Monkey Dogs AND Tripawds. Most times, the choice to become a Tripawd is not made by the dog, but rather by cruel outside forces, such as cancer or an accident of some sort. Of course, some dogs are born Tripawds and never even have the potential to become Monkey Dogs, such as our dearly departed former fearless leader, Comet Dog. We miss you Comet, but it seems like you are having a swell time jamming with your friends up there. Unfortunately, the choice to become a Monkey Dog is nearly always a conscious decision made by the dog. The dog must make a conscious effort to oppose the Tripawds, and they usually do so based upon the false belief that thay are being ignored or pushed aside by their owners because they have a Tripawd sibling that their pawrents have to give a lot of care to. Most of the time, this belief is untrue, but believing it nonetheless they pledge their allegience to the Monkey Dog force. This precedent was established in the case of Comet Dog v. Monkey Butt, which was decided by a three dog panel (2 Tripawds and 1 Monkey Dog) in a Nevada appeals court. In further researching public documents in NV, I learned that it was only after this case that Monkey Butt legally changed his name to Monkey Bunny. Apparently, he thought that if he was no longer a Monkey Butt the ruling wouldn't apply to him.

So there you go. Sorry I ran on for so long, but you know us legal types - sometimes we just like to hear ourselves bark. Of course, there can always be spies on each side - I'm talkin' about you, Rosie. I hope that answers your question, Sooper Cooper.

Upon conducting further research, I have found that our dear friend Comet once spoke on the issue of what makes a Monkey Dog. And I quote her, "Monkey Dogs are those pesky puppy and/or terrier types that have four legs and take up space in a loving home." I couldn't have said it better myself.

Ohhhhhh okay I get it. idea  In that case Kali truly did/does qualify as a MonkeyButt. She would charge Tai and bowl her over, taking mean advantage of Tai's three leggedness. I thought it was just "puppy ignorance" but now I understand that she was jus being a MonkeyButt through and through. Kali even went so far as to break her own shoulder ( at 12 weeks while knocking Tai over) to attempt to pass as a Tripawd and garner more attention. Now that's taking things just a bit too far don't ya think??

Tai – 9 yr old lab. Diagnosed Osteosarcoma Dec 18/09. Front right leg amputated Dec 21/09. Started chemo Jan 7/10. Lung mets discovered Sept 16/10. Valiant to the end on Oct 26/10 when cancer reappeared in a leg and we made the decision to set her free. Forever in my heart where not even cancer can take her from me.

Thank you Ginger for your clear and concise definition of the differences between monkey dogs and tripawds. It is no secret to me as to why Fearless Leader Comet employed your legal talents.

Thank you as well for your detailed analysis of the monkeydog brain and mentality. While they battle for purposes of self against defenseless Tripawds - all because of the illusion that they are being ignored , which couldnt be further from the truth, we tripawds battle against the monkeydogs merely out of the necessity of self defense.

I happen to believe myself that all dogs should be given equal billing, in matters such as treats and attention and whatnot, it usually appears to the monkeydog world that they are left behind merely due to the fact that in punishment for the constant in your face barking, pooping where ever they want , making carpet streaks and eating whatever they like , they seem to be given less. Some common sense and goodness would go a long way monkey dogs...

Oh and Mattie... HAH!! If the computer told me how many tripawd members there were - the answer I had given would have been 2070 not 1871 ... but no make that 2069 because you only joined to infiltrate.. so NYAGH to you.. I tested you with the wrong answer to test the monkeybutt dog intel and find it to be seriously lacking.

Thank you again for your attention and legalese to the matters at hand Ginger .. Angel Comet is as proud of you as ever I know it.

It saddens me to see the lengths that Kali has gone to in order to get one upmanship over Tai.. and you are right that is carrying things a bit too far breaking a shoulder to attempt to pass as a tripawd.. we can only hope that Kali learns from the error of her ways before it is too late.. because I do know there are good and true quadpawds out there .. Kali we are fighting for you here at A.M.B.F

Hey old man Cooper,

Why not enter the 21st century.  Everypawdy knows that polka dot is the new camo, so no need to worry about the stealthiness of Secret Agent Sam.

Kali, monkeybutt is the leader of the monkeydogs, so it would be his decision, but I think you have gone above and beyond the call of duty by breaking your shoulder in order to infiltrate tripawds and gain your equal rights.  I think you deserve a medal on your avatar.  Tripawds are always passing around that red dunce cap that looks like just another version of the cone of shame . Monkeybutt, what say you?  In anticipation of your approval, I have drawn up the following declaration.  In fact, I think we need an entire declaration of independence and hence war upon the tripawds.  I am sorely sorry that it has come to this, but the three-legged dictators that are in power give us no choice.

Therefore, let it be known that the Monkeydogs shall develop a line of meritous award medals and criteria for qualification of same said, heretofore and forthwith of the party of the first part and said accomodations will heretofore and forthwith properly award to the parties of the first part, said monkeydogs for actions against the parties of the second part, said tripawds (see sometimes I can talk legal, too Ginger Legal Pants!).

And don't try and brainwash Kali, saying you are fighting for her.  She is a monkeydog, upon which you smack down with your power paw.  Kali, we are your people...er I mean...dogs.  Stay with us.

MFM

PS.  Monkeybutt, I think Sam gave himself his code name (Secret Agent Sam or SAS for short).  SAS sort of, kinda, fits; don't you think?

Hey Coops, sorry,  Mr. Cooper, Kali here  cool - I'm hijacking the computer while my Mum is outside.

So, yes I did break my shoulder but that only earned me "crate rest" while goody two shoes Tai Dog got to roam the house, or make that "hop" the house, bah ha ha! So after my jail time I broke it again just to really show my Mum who cost more $$$. I think Tai still won the $ game but I came pretty close. Then, proving to me who was the favorite child, Mum took spoiled Tai to a horse show. Tai ALWAYS went to horse shows way before I showed up but I was told I was "too young", phooey! I had to go into a kennel for 2 days. That was kinda fun though cause there were lots of other pups to pester. When I came home though nothing had changed so I threw myself underneath the biggest horse I could find. THAT scared Mum - FINALLY I got the attention I deserved. Unfortunately I also dislocated my hip as I did the "drop and roll" and, once again, I was off to the Vet's and back to crate jail.

When the Angels came to take Tai I was really sad, I missed her a lot cry. I hadn't realized how much I really loved her. So now I'm conflicted, I don't know if I'm a MonkeyButt or a Tripawd Lover. Can someone help me????

Kali,

Don't be conflicted.  It is complicated, but you can be both.  You can love an individual tripawd or two, but you don't have to accept their beliefs that tripawds are all super special by virtue of their three-leggedness.  I understand your conflict.  Monkeybutt is conflicted right now too.  He is just taking a little time to get his head right again and he will be back in full force.  So love and Miss Tai, but join our resistance because I'll bet Tai, now that she is at the bridge, would want you to have equal rights and that no do should be under the "Power Paw."  Still it is your decision.  Remember, "You've got to stand for something or you will fall for anything."

In monkeyhood,

Io wolfhound reporting for duty Sir.

Please don't forget us Europeans - The MonkeyDog force is strong here as well .

However, we in the A.M.B.F European (not much) Intelligence Agency are currently busy conducting undercover hopperations and Tripawd power will prevail.

The dreaded MonkeyButts will have to undergo some stern training and will know their place -  "Bring more treats MonkeyButtler "big-grin
