Comet is the first official 4-legged Tripawd! She got her wonderful Tripawd scarf as a gift last week from the Tripawd HQ's! Woohoo!
We wanted to show how proud we were of it as she leisurely ate her evening carrot. And also show how it nicely laid on her Quasimodo shoulder! But guess who had to jump in and ruin the shot!?? Yes! Monkeybutt!
Even though I know what Comet was thinking, I think a 'caption the photo' contest is in order!
1st Prize: A 23lb floppy eared lap dog that never needs brushing! (it's a waste of time, he still has nasty looking hair!)

Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
Don't eat that! It's good for you.
You can keep the prize.

Jake lost his battle on 11/9/2009, almost 8 weeks after his surgery. We will never forget our sweet golden angel… http://jakesjou.....ipawds.com ….. CANCER SUCKS!
Monkeybutt: "No fair, you always get the cool stuff".

-Chloe's mom
Chloe became a rear amp tripawd on 7-29-10. Another tumor was removed on front leg 2-20-14. Found 3rd tumor on neck 2-2015, but she's still kicking cancer's butt at age 14. Chloe's blog
How about "don't you be touchin' my scarf and carrot mister!" In that creepy Fortis remodel video background music playing and sinister voice at its best.
So do I get the 23lb eared lap dog with that nasty hair that never needs brushing 1st prize???
My sweet golden Mackenzie. She became my angel on Dec 29, 2010 at the age of 8 1/2 although she was always my angel from the time we brought her home. She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in Sept 2009 and officially became a tripawd (front leg) on Nov 5, 2009. She will be forever in my heart and now she's running free with all of our other tripawd heroes. I love you Mackenzie!
We have a taker! drum roll ...Kami!
But Comet was actually saying, "Mommy, when is he going to go live with Wyatt Ray like you promised??!"

There's a song that comes to mind when I look at this picture … it's an old Jim Croce song ….I can see Comet singing it …. being that she IS a showgirl living in Las Vegas and all….
...oohhh Monkeybutt ....
"You don't tug on Super[wo]man's cape
You don't spit into the wind
You don't pull the mask off the old Lone Ranger
And you don't mess around with [Comet], da do da do..."

"Going Dog" def: living every day in the moment
"It came to me that every time I lose a dog they take a piece of my heart with them. And every new dog who comes into my life gifts me with a piece of their heart. If I live long enough, all the components of my heart will be dog, and I will become as generous and loving as they are."
