For any members who don't expect to be saved from the predicted fire and brimstone tomorrow, please consider sharing what you'll be doing to celebrate (or mourn) the apawcalypse! Then join Tripawds members in the chat on May 21, 2011 to commiserate with those of us doomed to be left behind.

If you do plan on being saved, please prepare for the care of your pets after the rapture, since they won't be allowed to go with you. Then feel free to make a huge contribution to help us keep this site online during the end of days.

If these folks are saying there are no dogs in heaven, then I'd rather not go.

Pretty certain I'm not going to be one of the 'raptured' folk. Abby and I will celebrate the apawcalypse together with a long walk/run/bird-chase at our favorite dog beach, like we do on any given Saturday. (Or any given Monday, or any given Tuesday, etc.) If I see lots of dogs running loose after their pawrents are raptured, I guess I'll try to round up as many as possible and bring them home with us. We'll come home and cook up all the meat in the freezer and have one helluva party while we await The End.

Jackie & Abby

Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Tripawds blog, and a more detailed blog here. Please also check out my novel, What the Dog Ate. Now also in paperback! Purchase it at Amazon via Tripawds and help support Tripawds!

Ha, if anything Gerry will be the one going without me!  Maybe I can grab a hold of his extra long tail big-grin  As one of my bumper stickers says, "Lord, help me to be the person my dog thinks I am."

Gerry has been a tripawd since 12/16/2009.

He was a shelter dog with a mysterious past and an irrepairable knee injury.

Videos and pics of Gerry's pawesomeness can be found at: http://gerry.tripawds.com

I have to work tomorrow frown. I sure hope Ranger is still here when I get home (he is by far the most "rapture worthy" in my house!)laugh

Sadie is my 9yr old Rott/Shepherd mix. Diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her right scapula 1/28/10. Our brave girl had her amputation 2/13/10 and her last chemotherapy on 6/6/10. Unfortunately, a tumor appeared in her back right leg and on 10/7/2010 Sadie's earthly journey came to an end.  On 10/24/2010 we adopted Ranger, a handsome Rott/Lab mix tripawd (got hit by a car) I think Sadie sent him to us.

I have to agree with Jackie.... if they don't allow dogs, I'm staying...

We have yard work to do, then a great doggie dinner... then going to see Pirates tonight with a friend from work...

Tomorrow is rock climbing... maybe that means the rocks will have fewer people... LOL

Well, no rapture in other parts of the world, looks like we'll be safe. Darn, at 6 pm I will be sitting through wedding speeches. The rapture could've made that more interesting! laughing

I'll be at a crawfish boil when it is 6PM here.  And I am really with so many of the others.  I prefer to stay behind if there won't be any dogs.

I think God's going to have a thing or two to say to Harold Camping.  What an idiot.  Although I wouldn't mind, I'd rather be there than here and I'm pretty sure Tate and Sam would be with us.

Well, it is a small group of christians that believe it will be today.  I am a christian and I have to say, before I decided to be saved I had to check and triple check to make sure that animals go to heaven.  Yup, it is true, despite what many claim, Job 12:10 (I think, I will have to check my bible) says that all living things go to heaven.

I have argued this point with many a christian, and I stand firm in this belief.  Otherwise, I wouldn't want to go either!

I did tell my husband, who is not a christian, that if me and the pups disappear today, along with 1/3 of the population, he should consider dusting off the bible.  He just blinked at me.  whatever I am going to leave it out, just in case.big-grin

Diagnosed with osteosarcoma in the right front leg 8/23/10,

leg fractured 8/27/10,

leg amputated 8/30/10

I couldn't begin to say how special Sammy is to us.  Living and laughing with and loving this wonderful boy is priceless.

Phew! smiley Thanks for doing the research...

So far so good though... no sign of the earth cracking up here in the Rockies, yet. Drop by the chat today to report any signs of Armageddon near you.

Aside from a 50% swing in the temperature today from yesterday, no Apawcalypse here. We did have super low tides the last few days, where it looked like all the water drained out of Appletree Cove. And I've been watching a lotta documentaries on the Mayan calendar 2012 end-of-the-world theories, but I totally missed this one. Thanks Tripawds for keeping me in the loop. I might have been wondering where everybody went, cuz I definitely don't rate a rapture.
