So sorry to hear this! I know you didn't have as much time as you'd have liked, but you made his last memories so full of love, compassion and security! Every dog deserves that, though so many never find it. You set out what you started to do - made his last days happy and "wanted"....it hurts that those days didn't last longer, but he KNEW he was loved. Hugs, my friend, until we meet in a couple of weeks.

Oh Sally! I'm soooooo sorry to see this today. Jim and I are both deeply saddened, and send our condolences to all of you.

I know there is nothing you wouldn't do for your dogs, for any creature. You did everything humanly possible and with all that you have going on in your life, that wasn't easy at all. What a blessing you were to him at a time when he really needed that level of comfort and care! And courage. You made that decision for him and it is never, never easy.

Hank found his forever home, and in that discovery, he found the love that he had been searching for. There is a real reason why you came along and brought him home when you did. You gave him the gift he deserved, right up until his last breath. That is such a blessing, and so special for a dog who had a very hard life until he met you.

May he stay close to the pack and keep all of you surrounded with his loving spirit.  We are keeping you in our hearts and thoughts.

Oh Sally I’m so sorry!  We never get enough time with them do we?  Knowing Hank got to experience “Sally love” even for the short time he was with you though makes me smile a bit. I know that boy knew love in his short life with you. And I know Cash will now get a double serving of that love as he learns to navigate his new normal. Sending love to you and the entire furfaces clan. Fly free new Angel ❤️🌈

I am so sorry Sally, I know this is heartbreaking for you and the pups.sp_hearticon2 Hank and Cash were sent to you for a reason. They desperately needed love, and they finally got that love that so many never do. Cash will be lost for a while, but it would be so much worse for him if you weren't in his life. Frankie and Myrtle are not Hank, but they will also bring him comfort. I am so glad those two found you. You are their hope, their unconditional love, and the haven they never thought they would know. Hank was truly in his home and loved when he crossed over. You cannot ask for more than that.

Sending hugs and so much love your way. My thoughts are with you and the pups.

Yes Michelle, so true. In spite of the broken hearts every time our beloved companions  go to the  Bridge, we still do it over and over.  The joy of habing them in our loves transcends the pain of losing  them

Remember he knows love and we choose tears.  As many times as we can

And hest Donna!  Hank absolutely knew th bliss of having a full belly!  He never had to worry about starving or going hungry ever again!

He knew love, warmth and a full belly -

Yes Paula, you're right, the mission was indeed accomplished

You set out what you started to do - made his last days happy and "wanted"...

Hahaha......I like that concept Linda🥰  Yeah, Hank certainly got a good dose of

Sally love

I need to always remeber that.  Thank you Jackie

Hank and Cash were sent to you for a reason. They desperately needed love, and they finally got that love that so many never do.

Thank you everyone.   So glad you got to know Hank and reinforced to him, as did I, that his life matters.

We've all been on the side of receiving love and support during times like this.  We've all been on the side of givong love and support during times like these, but we always feel like our words are inadequate.   Trust me.....they mean the world and they DO help and they DO bring comfort

I DO feel like Hank "knew"  Cash would be okay in time.  Had this happened at the shelter, Cash would have shut down completely.  Hank could leave in peace knowing Cash has his own home, his own person and an extended dog family he has merged with.

Thank you for celebraring Hank (and Cash) with me.  His life mattered, and each of you validated that.

With love, true sincere love, to each of you♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

PS...Loooove the rainbows Holly!!!!  Yep, good sign......

Aw Sally, I'm so sorry.

Remember that since dogs live in the moment Hank never knew his time with you was short, he only knew that every day with you and the pack was his very best day.

As usual, we are left to carry the pain and grief. You are a woman with a huge heart and amazing soul, you love hard and so the pain is so much more.

Sending strength and peace to you and the whole pack.  Extra love for Cash who will be missing Hank the most.

Thanks Karen.  Appreciate the reminder of Hank's perception....so true.

Sally I am so sorry. Even though your time was short with Hank I know it was his best days ever. You can tell by the pics how much he loved and appreciated you!  Reading this brought tears to my eyes.

As you know I am not able to get on the site much working two jobs. I received an email notification but this was the last thing I expected to read. But I do know Hank is ok and I will tell you why. I was on this forum at the bottom of page 8. For some reason I couldn't get to page 9. So I scrolled up and there it was. Brownies banner. It was like Brownie saying "tell Aunt Sally Hank is fine. We are all together."

Sending lots of hugs❤️❤️❤️

My Beautiful Beloved Brownie was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma on February 26, 2019.  With all odds against him he lived an additional one year and eight days with amputation, love, and prayer.  I was honored to be his mom, and I have never been so proud!  He will live forever in my Heart!

Although I don't  think Cash will ever have a  bond and deep  connection like he and Hank had, he's settled in nicely with Myrtle and Frankie.  Hank and Cash went through some really, really rough times togethe, but always had each other, relied on each other and comforted each other.

With a blind dog and two three leggers, there's a lot of tripping over each other, bumpinginto each other.  Frankie has learned to give Myrtle a little "vocal" if she gets ready to step on him or jump on him in the bed.  Cash hasn't figured out her blindness yet so hasn't  learned to give her a "warning" if she's getting  ready to step on him.

And I apologize, I forgot who said Hank brought Cash here to make sure he would be loved and cared for knowing g he would head to The Bridge first.  It was such a lovely  sentiment and clearly true.

While I haven't  seen Cash snuggle as much as he snd Hank did, he and frankie and Myrtle will certainly enclose to each other.  Sweet Myrtle will take her vig baby stuffy over to Cash to try and get him to play.  Cash has no clue how to respond.  I'll try and get a video.

So yeah, everyone has blended really well.  Cash hops over  to greet me at the door with tail wagging.  Frankie howls tame, and Myrtle "tries" to greet meat the door with her stuffy.  Sometimes though, she' gets turned around though and goes to the wall to greet me.

This is so awesome Sally.  I am so glad that he is settling in with Myrtle and Frankie.  I know you were kinda worried that they wouldn't find a way to adjust but they are so much more than we ever give them credit for.  Cash will figure it out with Myrtle.  Each day is a new blessing with the 3 of them.  You have done so much with all of them.  Myrtle adjusted, Frankie and his shenanigans and his surgeries, Hank and Cash both bringing a  little piece of heaven with them and now that Cash is on his own he is adjusting with all of you.

The sweetest lady has done so much with what she has been given.  You are a blessing to all of us and to your pack.  Love you tons my friend.
