She's really cute!
Active 10+ Pyr mix suddenly came up lame with ACL tear in left rear leg. Scheduled for a TPLO but final pre-op x-rays indicated a small suspicious area, possibly OSA, which could have caused the ACL tear. Surgeon opened the knee for TPLO but found soft bone. Biopsy came back positive for OSA. Became a Tripawd 9/18/14. Carbo6 with Cerenia and Fluids. Pain free and living in the moment. Crossed the Bridge on 7/12/15 after probable spread of cancer to her cervical spine. A whole lifetime of memories squeezed into 10 months. Here's her story: Eloise

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

Harmony became a Tripawd on 10/21/14 (MCT). She left us way too soon on 11/1/14.

Oh I love Merry Myrtle's facial expressions!!! She is indeed proud of her delicacy...

If Myrtle would like to expand her horizons we have PLENTY of goose poop up here we'd LOVE to share!!! Since they've had their babies they are not as easily run off out of our yard. Lucian was quite surprised and not sure what to do when they started hissing and chasing him. He'd stand behind me while I'm cursing these foul creatures and trying to run them out of the yard. I'm sure I was a sight for the neighbors (if anybody was watching) yelling at these geese "come on you SOB's try to attack me and see what you get!!" By the look on Lucian's face I'm sure he thought his mama lost her mind...
Since we're legally not supposed to shoot them (
) I guess hubby will need to get new fencing with smaller holes so the babies can't come through and then they can stay across the street or in the neighbors yard and poop...

Seattle has a ton of Canada Geese as well and they are horrible. And fearless.... Shelby used to charge them and they stood their ground. Since they strike me as mean mother f'ers ... I always held her back. Also they were bigger than her and she was 25 pounds!

Sahana that picture made me chuckle. I can see you saying & doing that. We have stupid Wild turkeys in our yard. Nasty dirty birds. Luckily they haven't been in the dog yard that I know of. Bad enough the girls (especially) roll in stuff.
