Almost 5 months since Fuzz crossed the rainbow bridge and I wish I could say it was easier missing him.. it's not.. "Worm" as he came to be known pops up in my thoughts daily.  So much reminds me of him  The addition of the 2 rescue kittens ( Smudge and Mouse) has also shown how fast time flies- they are now at the 6 month mark and due to be spayed and neutered in a couple of days. I cringed each time we did their young  kitten wellness checks/vaccinations (Smudge ended up with all 3, Mouse got 2) and I declined rabies and informed that there will be no more vaccines as they are strictly house cats!  Fuzz would have loved their rambunctious energy.  Fuzz's best buddy ( my 93 lb black lab) has taken to the kittens and they love to snuggle with him just like Fuzz did!  I hope all is well in the Tripawd Community.  This site and members were so amazing to me and Fuzz on our short c-word journey.  I have included a recent photo of the kittens.. Mouse in front and Smudge curled up with Murphey..  Melissa ( always Fuzzmom)

Dear sweet Melissa.  Yes, the grief has no timeframe  nor does it ever really go away.  When it comes to the ache in your heart, five months is still not a long time at all. Especially  with the intensity of this  journey.   .Everyone  here will tell you that, even years later, sadness will pip up and bring some tears.

I do know that, when you have those thoughts  of Fuzz coming through, that is Jo's waymof saying "Hi Mom, Worm here, just wanted to say hello and let you know our bond can never be broken"💖

Thank you for the pupdate on those ADORABLE Smudge and Mouse kittens...and Murphey too.  Sweet, sweet, sweet  picture.  And I don't  blame you one bit saying no more vaccines.

Thanks for check in Melissa.  We think of you and Fuzz often..espec when his cute banner pops up.  When you can share more of Amidge, Moise and Murphey.....and always more of Fuzz too.

Has Fuzz shown up in any dreams, or moreso in your "thoughts"?.

Hugs

I'm so glad you stopped by. I think of Fuzz often, his picture comes up in our gallery, what a photogenic Trikitty. And while he's taken on a spiritual form now, he's by no means gone and will never be forgotten. He was such a rock star Tripawd, and showed the world what is possible on three.

Five months is not a long time. You are still grieving, your heart is still aching with losing him, that's to be expected. The feelings come on unexpectedly, and it's OK to acknowledge them. Of course you miss him! You went on a journey together that most people don't have with their cat. It creates a bond like no other. We totally get it. I'm going through it myself right now. So while you grieve the physical loss of him at this time, over the next months it will get easier to smile instead of feel like crying when those waves of sadness hit. You're stronger than you know. You will get there!

And in the meantime you are being an excellent advocate to Mouse, Smudge and Murphey. Great job taking what you learned on Fuzz's journey and helping them to stay healthy. The spirit of Fuzz is watching over all of you, making sure they have every chance at living long, happy lives with you. Your critters are fortunate!

Thanks again for saying hello. Come by anytime 🙂

Just catching this now. I am so glad I hopped in to see what was new! I thought about you so many times through the Month of Fuzz sp_hearticon2My calendar is in our kitchen so I get to admire the photos daily.

Your new family members are so adorable! I don't think I ever saw Murphey, what a handsome pup sp_hearticon2 It's like you can see his soul through his eyes.

It has still been such a short time since Fuzz crossed. I honestly don't know if we ever get 'over' it, but I think we just make a place for it in our hearts and learn to live with it the best that we're able to.

Sending you bunches of hugs sp_hearticon2 thank you for sharing that adorable photo.

Hugs,

Jackie, Bo, Andy, Oscar, Phoebe, and the coolest feral tripawd kitty Huckleberry
