Oh, I'm so sorry. Jolie is where he needs to be, and it is terrifying. We went through something similar with our dog many years ago, and thank heavens it is possible, and other animals donate.
That's excellent. The other labs were good. The transfusion will help🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Oh gosh! Couldn't believe the events I was reading!
As Hollpy sai9d, he's in good hands and thank goodness for that check up catch things! Geez, talk about this coming seemingly out of nowhere....crazy!! Other than the vomiting, he was doing so well! Nope, never saw this coming but thanks to your outstanding care, the problem was identified promptly and treatment is being given.
Sending pawsitive energy for a quick recovery and getting Jolie back home .

Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too!
Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
You know we are all holding our breath for good news, so thank you so much for keeping us in the loop.
I'm sure eating os not at the top of the list for Jolie right now. That will come though.
They are doing a good job of monitoring him aqnd giv9ng him the attention he needs.

We are back at our home hospital for more tests. As Perrkins (sorry I don't know the real name) mentioned maybe the low blood count was brought on by CKD? If that's true, is it something that is correctable? The blood transfusion only brought his blood up to 19.5 from 14 of yesterday...I'm not really sure what this means....
We are back at home now. He has high blood pressure and low blood count along with CKD. More meds for the blood and heart in addition to the ckd.He has been eating less and less and losing weight.I have to take him back to hospital tomorrow to see if his numbers improve. Also, one of his stiches came open, although, thankfully, its not bleeding. Honestly, I think I may have to prepare for the worst.
Oh, Edward, I'm so sorry; I'm just able to get here, and I'm sick to read this. 🫂🫂🫂
What is the vet explaining to you?
What do they suspect the cause of anemia is Kidneys or something else? Please inquire further. It would depend on the underlying cause. I know it commonly happens in CKD. If it is kidneys, they would possibly be adding more. See screenshot

I have no firsthand experience with anemia. All I can do is support you and direct you to information and support groups who would have firsthand experience.
I am glad to see the BP meds added in. What heart medicine exactly, or are you referring to BP meds? Sadly, we do have experience in heart disease, and the one med we did not need was a BP med. "Eating less and less" is Jolie still on his appetite stimulant ? This can also be the kidney disease and of course he has been thru a lot the dear boy of course he would be losing weight.
It never hurts to have a plan in place for any senior or sick animal, and I HOPE you don't need it right now, and Jolie can come out of this. When Purrkins brother got ill, and we were treating him with HOPE, we did get some plans in place because his disease was not curable, and we wanted our Saxton to be able to leave this earth peacefully at home and not in a vet's office. The at-home takes a little planning sometimes. It's good to have your last wishes down for Jolie and the where, and with whom IF given the choice and chance.
Let us know how today goes. we continue to send tripawd power, healing energy, hope & prayers. Give Jolie a kiss and cuddle frrm us please.

Holly, Purrkins & Saxton in the sky💫
We are doing the stimulant, iron. We did the blood transfusion last night. We are giving him something for high blood pressure which they don't know what is causing.
I got him to eat 6 chicken mousse tubes. He drank alot of water and peed when we got home. He has been sleeping. I wake him to feed him a tube then he goes back to sleep.
Ok, they did add the iron in, and you go back again today right? Im glad Jolie ate 6 tubes thats something and of course he would be exhausted.
See what the vet says today on the cause of anemia and please inquire on a different.
PHOSPHORUS BINDERS - https://felinec.....inders.htm
(((HUGS)))
Make a list of questions for the vet, please, for tomorrow. So you can understand what is happening more and what else you can try for the kidneys, which I'm guessing you mean phosphorus binders in the food.
Keep enticing with all the foods, and warming them in the micro can also help. You are doing everything to help Jolie and have been doing an excellent job helping him in all ways humanly possible.
Both the kitties are extremely lucky to have you.
Im hoping for more improvement today!!
