Pandora,

we have you in our hearts and mind today!!!! I am putting the power of Tripawd Prayers out there for you and for a successful surgery!! Please let us know how your sweet girl is doing?

i just wanted to add a little about my experience with my Sharpei’s heart murmur, years back. It was detected and we did an ultrasound and i understand what Holly is talking about with the grade of the murmur... i didn’t at the time, but the vet was confident in going ahead with the exploratory surgery that was necassary to find out why she was anemic at the time. It turns out that she had my whole dressing room in her tummy! (An earring, a couple of dimes and a few pennies, plus an old button from my favourite leather jacket!) Dogs! They’ll eat anything wont they?!

Prayers to you Pandora that you have a successful surgery today! You will get back to your old new self in no time!!

Love and healing prayers

Petra, Stewie and his four very cute Kittens

I just popped on real quick and saw these messages.  They mean a ton.  A TON.  I cannot even say.

I've talked to folks at the vet a few times today - she's out of surgery and the surgeon sounded happy with how things went.  Apparently her blood pressure did dip a bit but they were on it and did their usual thing and she responded well.  Last time I talked to them she was apparently doing a bit of hissing at the staff.  At first I was a bit horrified (she's not usually a hisser), but then I realized.... I'll take it.  I can't blame her for being CRANKY and I think it's likely better than her being an unresponsive rag doll.  When the doctor called me this morning she said that she had wooed them and become a "fan favorite" because sh'es Pandora and amazing, so I'm sure they're not taking it too personally.  😀

They said I could visit her after work, so that's PRECISELY what I'm going to do.  We'll see how things go for the rest of today and tomorrow, and hopefully she can come home tomorrow evening.

Sending love to you guys because you are amazing, and have already helped me (and Pandora) a ton.  I will keep you all updated - I'll try to post here or on her blog after I get to see her.

Good girl Pandora!!!clapbig-grin Excellent news that you are out of surgery and already on the mend! You are soooo allowed to be a bit cranky right now lovey! Well done for being so strong for your Mummy!

Mum, you are so allowed to take a deep breath, go and rest easy, ‘cause it sounds like your Pandora is in really good hands! You have a tough couple of weeks ahead of you, but feel good please about what you have just done for your girl! She is on the mend to feeling like a super hoppy tripawd kitty!

Keep us updated please and check out all the kitty forums for extra tips and we shall always be here to offer support!

Aww, good news!  Surgery day is so long- it's such a relief to get the 'all good' call.

Get some rest before she comes home- and stay close here.  Lots of experience to help you through the recovery phase.
