It’s a Greyhound Tripawd Tuesday Celebration!

A pet cancer diagnosis strikes fear in the heart of every pet parent who’s been through it. We find ourselves fearing the future and wondering: will my best friend live to see next year? In time our pets teach us to celebrate each day we have together, and if they are still thriving and loving life a year after amputation, well that calls for an even bigger celebration!

That’s why today we’re giving a 3-paws up Tripawd Tuesday salute to our Helpline Host Gayle and her beloved Sessy, the Greyhound Tripawd extraordinaire. It’s her one year ampuversary, let’s pawty! Here’s what Gayle had to say about her amazing cancer survivor on this momentous occasion:

“Sessy had her one year ampuversary on 1/2/18. She is doing great…. and X-rays yesterday still show her cancer free…….YEAHhhhhhhhhhhh.

She still has muscle loss in her remaining back leg due to blood clot in September, but she’s getting really good at telling me when to turn around and go back…….and loving her water treadmill at UCDavis every Friday!”

Your Pet Can Star in Tripawd Tuesday

Each Tuesday, Tripawd dogs, cats and other critters from around the world can enter for a chance to be “Tripawd of the Week.” Just share your Tripawd’s story and you’re entered to win! On every Tuesday of the week, tell us about your three-legged hero. Just follow these easy steps:

1. In a short paragraph or two (or longer if you’d like!), describe your three-legged hero’s story.
2. Include photos or links to videos already uploaded to YouTube.
3. Include a link to your Tripawds Forum topic and/or Tripawds blog, social media handles, etc.
   
4. Email your story and photos to us.

All entries must be received by Saturday at 11:59 pm. One Tripawd story will be selected at random to be featured the following Tuesday.
