Cheeky Coco Survives 20 Foot Bridge Fall
Just wanted to share an inspirational story about my little dog Coco. In April last year my gorgeous 1 year old Labrador (without any warning) jumped up onto the side of viaduct bridge not knowing there was a drop.
She fell off, falling 20 feet onto the tracks below.
Probably one of the worst experiences of my life and just something I never expected she would do.
She dislocated her hip and had to be treated immediately for shock. She endured multiple operations and trips to the vets and had to be strongly sedated and kept in a cage to aid her recovery.
Unfortunately the hip would not stay in place and in the end we had to make a heartbreaking decision of how best to proceed.
Today She’s Strong, Hoppy, and Healthy
Our families told us to have her put down as the kindest thing as she would have no quality of life.
But despite her injuries she was still so full of life and cheekyness and we could not give up on her.
We decided to go for amputation in June. 6 months on, with a lot of love, cuddles, hydro, walks and treats…
Today our girl is strong 💪🏼 happy and healthy living her best life as a tripawd with her sister Nelly.
