“Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose.” – Steve Jobs
Diagnosed with the rare islet cell neuroendocrine tumor, Steve Jobs was lucky enough to have a cancer that could be cured. Recently the media suggested his sickness had returned simply because he appeared thin. They compared a current photo to a heftier Jobs, five years prior. Duh. Whatever, we all die.
Acknowledgement of that simple harsh truth is the first step to finding peace with the inescapable inevitable. Thanks to Steve for the reminder which reminds me of these lyrics …
“Feelin’ good was easy Lord, with nothing left to lose.”
Remember this too: Every day on three legs is a blessing.
Here’s a tip o’ the old tail to those tripawds who have passed on because of cancer. And a tip for their people too – live every day to its fullest. I do!
Jerry,
Sometimes my pawrent gets so busy trying to learn and comment on your Forum pages, that she forgets to check your blog! I’ll have to remind her to get over here more often! Or else, her job may be at stake! Kimber & I love to see the pictures where you have those sticks in your mouth! They make us want to play.
Love, Blazer & Kimber
Stay cool and hang loose
