We have been pleased with Seattle Veterinary Specialists in Kirkland.  We were referred by our veterinarian — they treated her dog for cancer too. They understand the urgency of the situation and got us scheduled for biopsy, CT scan and xrays within 24 hours of referral.

Dr. Kristin Kirkby, MS, CCRT, Diplomate ACVS was Tucker's surgeon and spent a significant amount of time answering every single question I had during my decision-making process (amputate or not), never made me feel rushed, but answered honestly and directly — made clear recommendations without pressure, respecting that the decision was ultimately a personal one for me and my family. Also referred me to tripawds.com

Dr. David Vail, Diplomate ACVIM (Oncology)   is directing Tucker's chemotherapy.  He is not full-time but takes appointments every two weeks, he travels from University of Wisconsin (see posts about Tripawd experiences there).

All of the staff from the scheduling and reception desk to the technicians — everyone we met clearly loves their work and loves animals.  They are caring and supportive and accustomed to handling emotional situations with care, support and grace.  We have met other tripawds in the waiting room (it is like a support group every time we are there). They offer 24/7 emergency care and ambulance services and are fully staffed around the clock. CT scans, xrays, chemos, operating room, anesthesiologists, surgeons all on site.  They encouraged us to visit (even our small kids came in and petted him and gave him treats) when Tucker was in the hospital recovering from the amputation — he smiled and wagged his tail, it made a difference in his recovery, no question.

yeah that's where we went for Kess's operation.  It's only a few miles from our house.  THey were so nice and I left them with some tripawds.com business cards afterward.  So nice to hear they are using them :).  We also had a great experience.
