OfflineOh, I was just thinking this weekend that one of these might be good for Ab, now that her mobility is not what it once was. If you have another left after sending to Katy, we could definitely use one for Abby. Can you PM me if you have an extra one still available?
Thanks!
Jackie
Let me see if I have 2 left. ( I am using 1 for Sam now) Hang on, I will get back to both of you by the end of the day.

Happy is 65 lbs…
Please be sure to review the Ruff Wear harness measuring instructions. It is girth, not weight, that determines a proper fit.

I think at 65 you will need a large- I am using a med on Samson at 65 and its stretched to the max but he has a big girth. I think I only have the 2 left but if Katy and Abby cant use them I will let you know.
My thoughts on harnesses. I don't know if there is a harness out there that I haven't tried for both my rear amp tripawd Daisy and Samson who has 4 legs but only uses 3. Sam has hip dysplasia and arthritis and hops like a tripawd centering his two weak rear legs directly centered between his body.
Help Em Up: I ordered this recently after emailing Fortis' dad and asking lots of questions. I went online and narrowed it down by size, then the drop down choice was regular and male. Well, Sams a boy so I ordered the male version without reading further. The male version has a metal support piece that supports around a male dogs penis BUT some male dogs can use the regular version (I read this in the pamplet that came with the harness) depending on the placement of the penis on the dogs body, forward or back. Well the male version just didn't fit well. I must say the customer service was excellent as they sent me out the regular version immediately and just had me ship back the one I had. The regular version fits much better but I found that when I tried to use it without the front half it would slip back on his butt. It also takes about an hour to get the straps adjusted correctly and that's pretty hard when your dog can't stand for that long.
Animal Suspension Technology Suit: Hmmm, It did what I wanted with Daisy..that is it provided full body support and the ability for me to carry her around like a marionette. Daisy could move her remaining back leg but she could not walk or stand on her own so she was either in a wheelchair or I was supporting her with some type of harness. This was very cumbersome to get on and off and again I screwed up the order when I measure Daisys girth and the 1st harness I received was way to small. Their customer service dept went above and beyond to fix MY mistake. Unfortunately Daisy died about 2 weeks after receiving the support harness so I really don't know if it would have worked in the long run.
Ruffwear Harness: Overall the best that I have been able to find. Both Sam and Daisy traveled with these on and Daisy mostly wore hers 18 hours a day. Pretty easy on and off except that I had to dress them lying down. The only other problem I had was that the straps would constantly pull out so I ended up getting a good fit and sewing the straps to the correct length. The belly and chest strap covers have a neoprene interior that kept turning inside the outer cover and wouldn't lay flat. Never had to call customer service so I have no experience there.
