Cassie don't change your hotel plans, I think we are going to stick with Rockwood Park. Sally is double checking the pavilion but even if it's booked for some reason, I can bring some shade and we'll pitch our own.

ROCKWOOD PARK. CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VIRGINIA. SATURDAY, MAY 27th. Shelter #4. 3:00-8:00
Also reserved Snelter #4 SUNDAY MAY 28th Shelter #4. 3:00-8:00
There is a fenced dog area within about 100 yds from this covered "shelter". This should be a fairly easy location for people to find coming just for the day. It's off .major interstates/highways.
There are a couple of dog friendly hotels in "general" vicinity. Great opportunity to do some "shared room"'...maybe even adjoining rooms for anyone wanting to spend the night.
I know we have some of our "national" visitors and "international" visitors staying in a house (or two) "somewhere" in the state of Virigina!! 🙂 Not exactly sure where Rockwood Park is in relation to their place, but I have a feeling they'll get to see a lot of Virginia on the way to the Park! 🙂 🙂

Sounds great! OMG ... is my little quadpawd going to sleep SOOOOOO well!!! That's a lot for her! She always passes out after one day with the northern CA tripawds gang!

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

Looks awesome! Izzy and I will try to make it. She's not responding to chemo so far so we'll have to wait and see but I sure hope I can get up there with my girl!
Momma to the world's most beautiful American Bulldog, Izzy!! Lost her front leg to OSA 9/18/15. Diagnosed w MCT in June 2016. Celebrated her 1 year ampuversary with knee surgery on 9/18/16! MCT recurrence in Dec 2016. Happy & hungry til nearly 14, earning her wings on 7/31/17.

I may be able to go on the big swim across the Atlantic and emerge from the water right on the Virginian shore... checking the currents right now.
Ok, actually I meant to go to Florida early May anyway. so maybe it's time for some road-trippin'. I would be flying into Richmond and then drive to Florida. I would so love to make that happen!!
Thing is, I can't really book anything all that early because I have a few things to clearify here before I dare book annnnnd there is the issue with Manni's health (It's gonna be 16 months in May and you all know what that means, so I'm a little scared to leave for two weeks. But hey, there's always cancellation...).

That would be FANTASTIC, Tina. I do so hope you'll be able to make it.
I don't yet know whether I'm coming or not but, if I do, I will probably be flying to Washington, then taking a car from there. And I'd be only too happy to give anyone a lift, if that would be helpful, especially if they could nudge me occasionally just to remind me what side of the road we're supposed to be on (hehe, just kidding...)
