I know nothing about Facetime or Skype but I am sure Karma or someone does.ย I can't wait.ย This is going to be so exciting.ย I really can't wait and everytime I think of it I get chills and tears at the same time.

Please everyone plan to do a ribbon if you haven't.ย You will just feel awe when you see this leash.ย I saw it for the first time when I went to Chicago in September.ย Sassy's ribbon had been on there for awhile.ย Once they become Angels the white ribbon and Angel is added for them.ย
If you have time go pick out something for them.ย Something they liked.ย Kathi put green beans on Murphy's, Hannah's had the M & M guy, Sassy's just had a pink tag on it.ย You can do anything.ย The measurements if you want to do your ribbon and just bring it and hang it is on the thread that Sally linked.ย Please think about doing one.

Just want to be clear that the partial hotel list she is providing will be updated. They were dog friendly hotels when the base location was different.
Elizabeth is making inquiries. We have some potentially staying a long week end who won't be bringing dogs but want access to Rockwood Park as well as some touristy stuff.
Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
Ok this is what I know
The location is the Rockwood Dog Parkย 3401 Courthouse Rd, Richmond Va 23236
Dates Saturday May 27 & Sunday May 28ย ย 3:00- 8:00 PMย ย
If arriving before 3 we don't have the shelter before that time so it will be in the dog park area til we get the shelter.ย
The are multiple hotels in the area. ย If looking for hotels Sally said the Richmond/Chesterfield County area.ย Look for dog friendly if bringing furry friend. I know Elizabeth gave us some earlier I think it was the Loft and Cassie is using the Red Roof Inn (not sure where that is exactly).
Needed items:ย Water for the Dogs, any snacks you may want, Pictures if your dog is an Angel or memento you would want to place on the memorial table.ย ย ย There are picnic tables to sit at etc.ย
Also I would like to suggest a $5.00 donation for the reservation of the shelter so it helps a certain friend out and they don't have to pay for it themselves.ย ๐

Also - are there bathrooms near the shelters? Or port-a-potties? I know when we got to the Northern CA meet ups there is a bathroom near the park and the original Shelby always brings a BIG container of water. So perhaps we can get some jugs at the store to make sure there is enough water. Maybe some blankets to sit on too? Or towels? Northern CA can be damp sometimes but that might be a geographic thing.ย
And cameras ... lots of cameras for lots of photos!!!ย

Ourย story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
Rockwood park is filled with amenities, bathrooms, water, etc so that stuff should not be an issue. There's large dog run (with water if I remember correctly) and a small dog run.
I didn't realize that the tribute leash angels got white with an Angel on them. My Jake is on there but just a blue ribbon so I'll need to make two..an Angel one for both Jake and Roscoe.ย
I am really not sure about hotels near the park, I'm not very familiar with that area; however, if any of you have questions and want to PM me I can find out.ย
I'll have two of my cameras with me. I think the last party I ended up with a few hundred pics ๐ย
I'll also try to remember to bring some blankets/towels, thats a great idea.ย

If I remember correctly his had the white on it when I saw it but if not the stuff will be with the leash to do that.ย But you do have to add Roscoes.ย ย ย I think we were posting at the same time or I would have added that in my last response.
I need to buy a new memory card for mine.ย Not bringing my big DSLR but will bring my little point & shoot.ย It does pretty good ๐ย I can even take a few videos on it.

Karen ties a tiny white ribbon at the top of the blue ribbon you made fir Jake if you didn't donit originally. I don't think I did either. The little white ribbon she puts in is when they get their wings.

Clare is driving over with me on Friday the 26th .... bless her heart. She wants to get in a car with an LA driver but I am sure my road rage with a guest and my dog will be an epic low levels. ๐ย
