Looooking good Whisker Butt!! 🙂 He is absolutely adoravle!!! Stylin' those onesies like a true Runway Model! 🙂

And using a kitterbox already? That seems to be a big hurdle for most kitties this early on in recovery! Good job!

Lots of hugs!

He pooped once and pee'd twice since yesterday, haven't seen much litter box activity today but he's still adjusting to scheduled feedings so hasn't eaten a whole lot. I did try to put him in the box a bit ago, but he just hopped back out. He does have a nice firm belly so if nothing happens overnight, i'll mention it at his checkup tomorrow. When he did use it yesterday you could see him having a bit of trouble digging, but he was still tasting colors from the buprenorphine.

So, quick up on Mr WB.

He kept getting his baby shirts off and pulled 2 sutures by day 6. He somehow wedged himself behind our stove and I had a frantic call from the roomie while I was at work b/c he couldn't find him. Little butt-head had wedged himself into a little 3in/4in hole, about 3 ft off the ground, and then back behind the stove :/He spent the day in kitty jail (aka my work) just to be safe.

Everything still looked good and sutures came out w/out a hitch on Friday 6/23. He's getting around great, seems to be that I am HIS person and he always has to follow me around the house when I'm getting ready for work or when I get home. I made the mistake of giving him some people food the other day and now he begs like crazy too. OOPS! lol He loves to lay in the middle of the kitchen floor, right where the fan and air conditioner meet. He's still having a bit of trouble getting use to the litter box, I think he's confused on how they work and doesn't like the sand under his feet, as he was an outside cat. I was afraid that he may have a UTI or blockage as he was licking at his junk quite a bit the other night, but it may have just been a fluke reaction as I haven't seen anything since. Eating/drinking fine, is a shy potty-er still though

I'm having trouble w/ the imgur album, seems that I have to delete and reupload to get it to let me add pictures every so often. I'll try to work on it while I'm at work today. Lots of really cute pictures from over the weekend.

Whisker Butt what are you thinking ?!?! Silly boy! Stiches are out he should be a free guy then!! YAAAY

Kitty jail with you at work I think he could of done worse😉 He probably enjoyed being with his person!!

As for the litter box? Is it low enough for him to get in and out of? Maybe offer a different type of litter, he may have a preference. Are you using sand? I would try clumping litters. Is he using the box at all or?

Glad to hear no UTI and drinking and eating all great! Getting around good fantastic!!
You are likely seeing all the things you would not have because WB was a outdoor kitty?!?!

Good luck on the unspoiling of WB:) We look forward to the new pictures.
Thanks for the update!!

WhiskerButt behave buddy!
Chin & ear scratches to WB!

That Whisker Butt is auite the character!! 🙂 Love hearing avout his personality! 🙂

Glad everything is moving along smoothly now and he is adapting just fine. Clearly he is "adapting" to be a house cat with his own human and some human food!! 🙂 It's impossible NOT to spoil a trilawd! IMPOSSIBLE!! 🙂 They are so darn cute! 🙂

A Techie will come along and help you with posting poctures. Can't wait!

WB is doing great. clap You can tell because he's escaping from clothing, going places he shouldn't, following you and eating your food. Lots of spunk. My kitty Mona was also litter box resistant.

Hugs to you and WB!

I think he just doesn't like the feeling of the litter. It's kind of like sand and clumping. He seems to have a bit of trouble getting comfortable in the box, and sometimes "getting going" but when he pee'd last night he seemed to not be as uncomfortable as he was a few days ago. I have 3 w/ bladder crystal problems so I know exactly what to watch for and may start him on the c/d diet to be safe. It'seems a regular sized box, and he jumps around all over the place so it's not too high at all. I wouldn't know if he's had bladder problems in the past b/c he rarely came around and I never saw him potty in the yard.

Working on pictures still, trying to get things off my phone and onto my tablet and then uploaded.

Glad you know what to watch for! I would say with 3 cats with issues. Sorry about that!

Look forward to seeing more pictures of WhiskerButt!

It'sounds  other that he'should falling, he was having a bit of balance issues but that seems to be getting better (good poop/pee posture too lol) I'm almost 100% sure he just doesn't like the feeling of the litter on his feet. He lived outside eh is whole life so going from dirt to sand is for sure a huge change.

I'may going to go work on  your imgur album. Keep saying i'll do it then get distracted by the tv. I gurl is having issues, not the forum 🙂

Yeah you're right, dirt to sand is HUGE. But the fact that he's balancing so well is a great sign.

I can't wait to see the photos!

Got the imgur album figured out. Stupid mobile wouldn't allow me to rearrange things or add new images

Whisker Butt, the tripawd

He does have a UTI. He can pee, it just takes a while to get going and he FLOODS the box. A little licking after but things seemed to be slowly getting better. Got him started on c/d and antibiotics to help speed things along 😀

He is a beauty and I love the striped onsies. I understand he wasn't amused but I sure was, too cute.

Some of the expressions in the photos are so funny. I guess opioids will do that to anyone. I hope he recovers quickly from the UTI.

Lots of scratches and cuddles for the Whisker Butt.
