The Tripawds Basic book suggests submitting a claim to the vaccine manufacturer for reimbursement for Veterinary costs for amputation and FISS treatment / radiation. My costs are $20,000+ and will continue with monitoring. I submitted a claim to Meria, which is now Boehringer. Boehringer reviewed all of the Vet records and has offered me a whopping $3,000. Has anyone fought for a decent reimbursement from the vaccine manufacturer? Any tips on getting a decent settlement from them? $3,000 out of $20,000 and continuing is NOT ENOUGH.

I'm sorry you & your kitty are dealing with an ISS!
There is no amount of money to FIX this, but yes, cover the expenses!!! I'm glad to see you received $3,000.
I don't have any new information, but I will inquire with our kitty vet and see what she sees on reimbursements or if she can direct us.

This is all I can share now; it is old 2002. If your Vet has not called, have them. I have heard the vet calling makes a difference a few times.
I will let you know what we learn from the vet.

This is how they base their reimbursement, and you must meet their criteria.
It is infuriating and disgusting. They have covered all their bases.
We should all be given this information before consenting to any vaccine. It would help everyone be aware and make the best-informed decisions we can.
