Don't think having three legs slows me down! My name is Spencer and I am a 4 year old male Weimaraner that was surrendered at a shelter and was rescued by the Tri State Weimaraner Rescue. I am full of love and really want to find a home to call my own. Most people are shy when they meet me or worry about the special needs I might have. I think they think I cant move around or need a lot of assistance walking. Walking?!? You should see me run and play! I am good at jumping too and going up and down stairs. My leg was hurt when I was hit by a car and never healed correctly. I was in so much pain but I am SO happy now that the doctor amputated it. I would love nothing more to cuddle with you and lay across your lap. I am really good with other dogs and humans, but due to my breeds prey drive, I wouldn't be good in a home with cats. I am just too interested in them.
Please read more information about me at http://www.tris…..rescue.org.
I currently live in Vineland, NJ with my foster family but TSWR covers all of NJ, DE and PA so if you live in my area or in the surrounding areas, give me call. 908-751-3140. I am up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and neutered.

Could Spencer be adopted by someone like myself in a Far Away State? As my tripawd and best friend Jeb Gets older, I cant imagine my life without a Three Legged companion, and have decided to begin searching for one.

We would consider an out of area adoption. Provided we can get some references and probably have your local weim rescue do a home inspection. The only problem is transport. We do cover a large area already and have had to depend on volunteers to help with transport and its made alot of adoptions possible. Obviously, the closer you are the better. Let me know where you live and then the next step would be to submit an application for adoption which you will find on our website.
Please feel free to email me at info@tristateweimrescue.org
Thank you for your inquiry.

OfflineWe could always organize a relay… Isn't there an organization that does that for adoptions?

I did try to register but it hasn't been approved yet. I thought I would get an email or something once it was approved.

OfflineJust want to add a note here.
For those of you who work with rescues (or those who may be adopting from afar), the organization Pilots-N-Paws helps arrange FREE transportation for getting adoptees to their new homes.
